1. your lecturer means, if you buy at 2400 and infosys gives bonus at 1600, though you will get 1 share 'free of cost' at 1600, you are already in a loss of 800rs.

... Rajesh Sir, This is again confusing me ...You say "Free of Cost" and again you say @ 1600? ... I don't get this at all...

2. after bonus shares are issued, the stock price will halve to 800, makes no difference to your investment.

Airtel GPRS 599 unlimited plan: - One week has passe and they are still not verified my address and have closed the connection for last 3 days ... also poor speed ... Not I say this ... My trade tigers shouts this 1000 times during market hours ...

BSNL Prepaid : - two days before I charged my old bsnl card with 56 Rs. and got sapped off in 1/2 hour... ... Good speed @ 18-20 kB/sec ... better than airtel ... but too costly!!

BSNL postpaid GPRS : - No idea about this till yet! Have read somewhere 499 Unlimited plan for one month ... but not sure ...

PS: - I have heard just now that bsnl prepaid can be converted to postpaid! ... So if it is true it seems my problem is very much solved!

Tata Docomo : - seems totally Unreliable as per my mama's reaction ...

Anything else please do tell me ...

1. Priyanvada buys infosys now at 2400.

scenario 1: if infy announces bonus now, you get 1 share free, so you have 2 shares. but the price of infy, would be halved and it will trade at 1200 , after the bonus shares are given to you. no profit/no loss.

scenario 2.Infosys declares bonus when the current price goes down to 1600(may be 2/3 months later) and not now ( this is what your lecturer at emkay meant).

if you are holding infosys till then , still you get 1 share free. so 2 shares. but the price will halve to 800. (loss of 300rs per share)

if not clear , we will start all over again
