Priyanvada's chit chat home ...

Rajji ,

Tell me Have you doubled your Capital or not?
No yar...

there is a tragic story behind it..

in short, whn i entered the market it was in bearish mode and i used to go long, didnt had much idea abt mrkt , no clue of short and long... used to do delivery based, i had bought shares at the peak of bull run.. just after 2 months mkt started crashing .. i had invested 3 lakhs in shares which came down to l kakh, still i was holding, but i went down n down, at last i lost patience and sold all... i got only 70000....... relaicne jaipra punj lyod. lnt, all bought at highs.....

after this i learnt that shorting is good in bear market so started dong intraday and used to short, track daily stock prices top gainers and losers mkt news.. started earning little little ... thn again frm march mkt started moving up////// i had to change my strategy which took time to adjust to bulls, again lost some money ..

so i have lost much still recovering little little yar.,..

Viral dada,

I am also 2 & 1/2 month old day trader ...

hi i m new in trading can any one tell me the best website terminal and not the software terminal for the intra day trading
I also did exactly like you ... And I lost @ 7000 Rs. capital (From Rs. 12000) because of this big blunder of trading from website transmitted data ...

Whatever you see on website is a DELAYED DATA ... the Ramayana is already happened and you are entering the theater ... So Don't trade from website based data transmission ...
There are very few websites which do provide you LIVE Market Data ... icharts(dot)in is one of those ...

and i wan to buy share and sell them within 5 to 15 to 30 minints
You can do this ... no problem!

and i want to trade without entering limit price , market price and the stoploss
then how the buyer on the other side will know that at what price he is going to buy your shares from you ... Are you going to donate them or want to see them somehow sold at 1 Lakh/Share :D ... I am confused here ...

i suggest you to first read this threads given below ...

http://www.traderji.com/beginners-guide/23815-absolute-beginner-guide.html
http://www.traderji.com/beginners-guide/9373-new-members-please-read.html

and then ask whatever you want to me ... i will try my best ...

... Ohhhhhhhh Rajji :( ...

You are my Big Brother in terms of Losing money .... :D

most wonderful thing is you have not lost your heart during this ... you have at last learned the basic rules of bull and bear and all that... and you are still IN ......:thumb:

I want you to make 6 Lakhs ASAP ... So that first milestone is reached of doubling the money ... Then we will think about next one ...

don't worry ... i am always with you ....

We WILL make it ...

Rajji I have done some calculations in my LAB ...

I have checked how the capital grows with consistant gain per day ...

i have got really amused with the results ...

1. Model Calculation for 100Rs. as starting capital : -

2. This One is for Rajji : -

Rajji,

i have calculated this as 70,000 Rs. as your present capital ... Please tell which option below you feel lovable and totally believable to recover your losses and double your initial trading capital of 3 Lakhs?! :)

3. This One is for Priyanvada : -

2 Lakhs is her first milestone ...

Jai Ho! ...........

when price moves above 103, place stoploss @ 102 for 50% of the position.

when price moves above 105, place stoploss @ 105 for 75% of the position. by cancelling previous stoploss.

when price moves above 107, place stoploss @ 107 for 90% of the position. by cancelling previous stoploss.

First Question of the day: -

What is meant by protecting the profit...

Lets Consider an example ...

1. I bought 100 Unitech stocks at price 100Rs. ...

2. And Fortunately the price rose up to 110 Rs. till the day end ...

3. Although Price rose upro 110Rs., It was NOT a "straightline rise" ... It Rose in a "staircase rise" ... i.e. in steps ... 103,105,107&110 .. i.e...

a.It went to 103Rs. first and then went stable-horizontal for 1 hour

b.And again rose to 105 Rs. and again went stable-horizontal for 2 hours

c.And again rose to 107 Rs. and again went stable-horizontal for 1 hour

d.And again slowly rose to 110 Rs ...

So ... An Expert in a Book suggests exit strategy in above case or say in any case ..

I. Protect your 50% profit @ 102 Rs.

II. Protect your 75% profit @ 105 Rs.

III. Protect your 90% profit @107 Rs. &

IV. Now leave the rest 10% profit to rise or fall (upto 100Rs.) as much as it can till the end of session ...

... So I am little confused here ...

What is meant by "Protecting the profit"???

Ohh God!! ... how I missed this ...

We Can Place A Partial Position Stoploss Order too!! :thumb:

This is a GREAT news for me ... Superb!!

Thanks prasadam!!

I was puzzled as why straight away he is not telling to book the 25%,50%,75% profit ? ... Now I got his point...
