Dear SG, as per my chart 15th Buy triggered in NF. Ok we bought on 16th. But 14th low and 12th Low qualify as per three candle PL. Why those were not considered as Initial SL?
Hi LVG,

I have no idea why your Trigger dates are different...please check your chart settings for...Logarithmic, SemiLog or Linear...!!!

Range of the prior week was quite large... because of which the Initial S/L was kept a little below the low of the particular Candle....which seemed pretty safe...also noticing that the previous candle was Bar Splice...!!!

Hi SG,

Does keeping a Log, Semi-Log or Linear scale make a difference to the value of the MA?

Hi Abhi,

Perhaps not the value but tilt maybe affected...not sure...!!!

Dont know if there would be any difference.....think Anant would be able to answer it with lot more certainty....not sure why LVG gets the trigger earlier, system through scanning/exploration can reduce work for us but visual confirmation is extremely important... now that I have been scanning equities for a little over 2 weeks....we get Triggers also because some scrip has jumped up by 10 percent... now that would not make sense to jump into something which moved up so big... for instance yesterday we WYETH as one of the Triggers.... looking at the huge candle that it did today.... I would be tempted to book profit....this where experience can override a system....!!!

Thanks SG,

I was thinking along the same lines...that value should not get affected but tilt might be affected. but the triggers are based on the values of MA & not the tilt.
