Quadra Safe Trading Strategy - I

Hi Gautam,

Trigger candle for Going Short was the 7th candle from right...but the 6th Candle didn't go below the Low of the 7th Candle & similarly while everything looked correct for shorting even the 5th Candle didn't go below the 6th Candle Low...Short Entry got activated only on the 3rd Candle below the Low of the 4th ...and Initial S/L is placed little above the High of the 5th Candle ...you can refer to the chart posted below with necessary markings....!!!

Do be cautious because I haven't done any extensive work on Intraday Charts....it will be sometime before I get around to work Quadra for Intraday....!!!

Hi Gautam,

Here is a 30Min NG International Chart with a slight Tweak.... where 13 WWMA has been done away with and 50 EMA has been changed to 21 EMA... Long & Short Trades are Marked with Initial S/L and Vertical Red Line denotes on the Candle where Trailing S/L got Triggered for Short Trades, Similarly Vertical Blue Line For Long Trades.....This is all that I can offer at the moment... although Rules for entry are different for Intraday than EOD Quadra...!!!

See if the Chart is of any help....!!!

Since 21EMA is entering the picture, for 30/60 min, I have found Rajsumi121's strategy (using 21EMA) quite useful, and simple, but the exits are sometimes difficult when the price spends too few bars above/below 21EMA. Maybe Quandra can offer a refinement. Maybe for intraday/swing we can work out the MAs as support/resistances/entry (or re-entry)/exit points.

Chart posted below, is a Classic 1 & 2 O'clock for Longs & 4 & 5 O'clock for Shorts, that I had mentioned a few posts earlier.....Will try and post some charts for your area of interest.... there is a couple of 'if' conditions for Intraday....wasn't really looking at visiting Intraday Quadra yet...but Gautam was kind of struggling with his Charts .....so decided to put him out his misery...:)

Dear SG,

I am new to this stretegy & gone to all posts but still not clear when we move trailing SL. Because in some charts SL is not moved, specifically in smaller swing low. Is there any specific criteria to look for swing low for moving trailing SL ?. Can you please explain.

Thanks

Pravin

Hi Pravin,

Please disregard the Intraday discussion & Charts,it is still early stages and things are very different for Quadra Intraday....having said that, if you have come across an EOD chart where the Trailing S/L hasn't been marked for a Swing Low or Swing High depending on Long or Short trade ....please point me to that particular chart/s ....because it could be an oversight on my part....!!!

Since we have a live active Short Trade of NF based on Quadra....it would be useful to monitor the progress for other conditions & exceptions as we go along....!!!
