Sir thanks a ton ......

Another Important Condition not in the List i.e "How to Identify 50 EMA position , Tilt up ,down or Flat "

Another doubt when we Gap up above triger candle then where should we enter ?

Regards
Hi Satyen,

Use the Crosshair tool instead of Arrow cursor and align the CH on 50 EMA directly below the Trigger Candle to check if it is tilted up or not....!!!

Few chart posted below with Crosshair tool....!!!

SG,

Whenever a long or short is triggered, is there any minimum number of points towards which price is moving?

Just to cite examples, and not to compare other TA with this :

a) Ichimoku analysts would say price is moving towards Tenkan/ Kijun/ Top or Bottom of cloud, etc..

b) 315 analyst would say price moving towards X EMA, or by experience X number of points when a Swing Trade is triggered.

I have seen the excel sheet, but, in general, if you had to give out an approximate number what would it be?

Hi LtoT,

I haven't been able to do a comprehensive Manual Backtest yet using Statistical Metrics for evaluation....while it is there on my 'To Do List' ....should ideally do it with Position Sizing and Gap conditions for purpose of evaluation, which in my opinion will be true reflection of Quadra....!!!

Plan on taking it up once all the documentation is completed....!!!

Hi SG, went through some (but not all) posts of this thread.

One of the first trades I had learnt was the 5-8-13 MA ... without the 50 added on. Sadly I never used it, got sold by complex ichimoku strategies ! Anyway ...

While browsing today, I came across bill william's alligator strategy / indicator. It is a 5-8-13 model, but time shifted. Interesting read. I am not sure if you have seen it, so please do check it if you get time. I feel it can potentially reduce some false signals. Anyway, that's my first pass reading, if you get time to comment on the utility (or not) of time shifting, will appreciate it. If you already did discuss this ... excuse me not reading the whole thread yet.

Hi SJD,

While I haven't read any of Bill Williams' Books or his strategies...but there does exist few indicators under Bill Williams in MT4, will go through his Alligator and see if there can be any improvement to Wilder's MA ....!!!

Thanks for pointing me to Alligator....!!!
