Options are safer because one loses money slowly, but 80% of the times(applies to option buyers). And Futures are more riskier because one loses money faster and bigger but only 20-50% of the times.
Here, the "one" refers to 80% of the traders.

Hi Krishna,
1. We have not tested Quadra on Options. So, no comments on NIFTY Option trading with Quadra.
2. No commemts because of 1. above
3. There are threads for Options trading in TJ. Just go to main page of TJ and look under Markets, sub category Options.
4. You have answer for this in the post by Ashish and Rangarajan. Also think of Time decay effect on Options which is not the case with Futures.
