I am Ravi currently resides USA also in the IT industry(Unix systems).I have just started my interest in the stock market from this FEB 2007.I have just found this forum a week back and its very useful. I am still doing lot of reading. I had seen 2 correction (march-April & august) But I missed those 2 opportunity.You are really doing kind of very good job. The way you reply to everyone query is nice. A person has to realize how much time you are spending to reply everyone. Keep up your good work.

Right now I have only 500 RNRL@29rs in my portfolio. I am planning invest one to 2 Lakhs.I am MT and LT. Please give your valuable advice. I am eagerly waiting to see your upcoming portfolios list.

Can you give me some good websites or forum like this to go through.

Some good links to analyse, balance sheet of stocks, results, holding by promoters etc--

http://www.moneycontrol.com -- you can create a free login and make a watchlist, see past performance of the scrip, read comments from others on that scrip

http://www.emkayshare.com/ -- Put the scrip name in thesearch box at the left pane and see detail. It shows you the holding of the scrip by FII,MFs on quarterly basis (no current bulk deal or dumping).But still good.

here you give the scrip code and see the details in balance sheet and results. data is very nicely presented here.

give the company name and get the details. Click on the 'charting link' to get daily, monthly, intraday chart. Good for those who can not get access to trading software for technical analysis.(something is better than nothing)

is also extremely good with the quote search for a comp bringing

Yes. Buy Adani Enterprise. Invest about 20% of your net equity money. Its another Jai corp. Dont get panicked if you see it in low level at times. Hold it for 2 months and see your money get double.

Dont put all your reserve. It is a high risk call. But high return assured.

Is there any story in it.
Also bought 20 Patni Computers @498
Should I book loss or wait till stake sale by promoters( who knows when it wil happen)

Power Grid: a great but at any time if you can keep it with you for 3 years. I would not mind even buying at CMP wtever it is.

Bhagyanagr India: Never heard off. Hold only if you have some sure shot info on it. Else get out.

Patni: Hold till you get back your buying level.

You said in the earlier post that powergrid is a buy even @ cmp....and a hold for 3 yrs...so my question is..how much returns can i expect after 3 years....and is there any gestation period for power grid?
