I faced that web is very slow. Suppose u want to cancel your buy pending order seeing the market falling like house of cards. Cancellation in web version means another pop up page gets downloaded and I felt surfing slow on their website. There is high chance your order gets executed by the time it opens.
But in ODIN, in the order book, u right click on it and click cancel OR simply click on it and press delete button.
If u wish, order confirmation / modification / cancellation can be done at one click. U can stop the popup dialogbox asking for confirmation.

Tools>Preference or press Ctrl+R

Click ORDER Tab

Look for

Select an option to prompt for a confirmation in the form of a message.
Uncheck the types you don't want confirmation.
Apply and click OK

Done...

But columbus is using web version for a long time (I guess I am correct, am I columbus?)

At first I applied for the web version. Within 2 days I shifted to ODIN.
Actrually, it is very very slow. Modification / Cancellation takes lot of time.
So I calculated ODIN is charged Rs. 220 more than web version i.e. less than 5 Nifty points. I think u will lose much more than it in an entire month if u stick to web version.

Yes, I have been using RKG's wen version for long. Order placement and execution are rather fast.I am not sure about Modification/Cancellation.
Now I am facing rather serious problem.My market watch is blank.
I tradetiger terminal for charting as well as for order placement.Previously
it was not so.

Nowadays it is important since the market is so volatile we have to frequently adjust the orders.

Of course its a different matter than nowadays even PIB freezes when market moves with Wide Range bars (WRBs)

It seems that everyone is experiencing freezing of their respective softwares.
I think may be we r not upgrading our computer. With every new version release of this softwares, they are taking more resources. I'm using Intel P4 machine for last 3 years with 1.25 GB RAM. I think I need to upgrade to Core 2 Duo now with more RAM. Nowadays 2GB RAM is minimum in all new machines.

The standard brokerage rates offered by all broking houses is 0.05% for intraday & 0.50% for delivery. However, you may negotiate it by offering to deposit more margin amount while account opening with marketing executives to the lowest possible levels till 0.1% for Intraday & 0.10% for Delivery. I have recently opened accounts with Angel broking, Share khan Motilal Oswal & got a fair deal with Angel of 0.02% for Intraday & 0.20% for delivery by depositing a margin amount of Rs. 20,000. However, Share khan & Motilal Oswal werent flexible enough to negotiate the brokerage rates other than standard rates on the same margin amount.

You may offer to deposit more margin amount while account opening to negotiate the brokerage rates with Angel. Angel provides ODIN DIET( a product of Financial technologies) as the trading software, which is the fastest among all trading softwares available in the market. Customer service at Angel is also good as they are just a phone call or email away. I am not much aware of Religare. Good Luck!:thumb:

Dear lazytrader, How much low angel and religare charges. And how is service. Please update. considering so many problems with rkg it si better to open account with angel or religare. As effectively cost to customer will be same any all cases. Please update.

I think the enormous traffic during some Wide Range Bars (WRB) on broker's
servers need to be blamed.

If so, how many years of data they provide ?

Historical charts at Angel ODIN Diet is from the date/year of inception of the script on to said stock exchange. Cheers!
