Please help me out regarding the issue i am facing in RTD 1.4 on my new laptop (Windows 10 home edition). Nest trader version is 3.11.4

Whenever i am trying to back fill nse scrips its always taking some other scrips (not the one that i am selecting) . For ex if i am trying to do the back fill for Arvind , it will take Ajantapharm and no data will be updated for Arvind. Not able to use backfill functionality for even updating a single scrip.Tried installing nest plus / nest trader / multiple times but no luck.

Not sure why this is happening only for backfill . Real time data is totally fine.

I checked everything - .ini settings , RTD settings etc . Everything is fine.

Is it the issue with nest plus version (using 2.9.0.0) ? Any suggestions from anyone ?

Kindly advise.

There is no solution/other method yet developed, for v 3.13 for backfill, except the one that you are using.

Yeah this is happening with me also, although I am on Windows 7. I tried backfilling Yesbank but the data got inserted was of IndusInd Bank. Some more scrips got involved like that and I had to delete the data outright. Since I do not trade scrips usually so abandoned using data for scrips but I acknowledge that I am really not able to make out whats the reason behind this mixing of data.

just a suggestion, please check and see that your .ini file and market watch have the same scrips with matching expiry months for futures, and MW columns are as per videos, also refresh MW before doing backfill.

Bhai, you are right in your view.
But, as far as I have experienced, there is no direct link between scrips in .ini file and scrips in MW for a backfill. ini file is important for real time quotes only and unless MW and ini file scrips are not similar, you wont get RT quotes. But this is not the case with backfill, you will get a backfill even if the scrips are different.

Few days back, I did similar post and no one complains about it (though no one confirmed my view as well). You can experiment this phenomenon yourself.

Bhai, till this issue is not resolved, you have few alternatives to update data in laptop 2,
1. backfill in laptop 1, email data files and backfill using these data fill in laptop 2.
2. In case of urgency, try backfill single scrip at a time (click/highlight the scrip in MW, before clicking backfill). Though it will be an headache if scrips are more in numbers, but IMO should work
3 If 2 above fails to works, then open data table of the scrip, download data and save data as .csv file. Edit and import into amibroker.
