Real Time Data Now / Nest Trader to Amibroker, Fcharts

There is facility to delete quotes for particular period in RTD. By the way why backfill same data again?
Thank you and hi again traderniftybull n josh1,

Eg. The data for CrudeoilmSep18Fut has quotes for sept 8,2018 which was a saturday.
1) I deleted the quotes from sept 7th to sept 14th 2018 in amibroker.
2) Copied the data from nest plus data table for the above dates and removed the quotes for sept 8th in excel before feeding it to ami through 'NowBackfill excel'.
3) The new chart still shows data for sept 8th which was previously deleted from the database and not even re-fed while updating the next time. Is there a way to prevent the deleted data from showing up again?
josh1 - is the delete quote facility available in the RTD version I am using?

Does anyone else know how to modify the source code of RTD to make it work with nest trader 3.16? I am sure there wont be any huge modifications. only datatable opening and closing part code may be different. Can anyone please do it?

Sorry bhai, cant help you more, as my understanding is also limited.
But I am unable to understand, about 8 sep data. How it can appear in chart when you have not fed any data for 8.9

Perhaps you do not know that we are the people, who have solution (read jugaad) for all kind of problems.
But first let us know, how you are getting real time quotes and backfill in Amibroker, using NestTrader v 3.14 - v 3.16. There are some known methods, but all of them are either not perfect or not easy.
wait a minute. I only thought we were'nt getting backfill in nest 3.16. I managed to get realtime quotes for wednesday. Ill try again on monday and report back.

Rohit bro

Try this way
- delete data from 7.9 - 14.9, as done earlier
- close ami
- restart ami or better restart system
- then feed data (7.9 - 14.9)
- now check and let us know the result

It means you did not delete quotes for the period or deleted but did not save database after that so the quotes remained there. There is a delete facility in RTD1.3/ 1.4 /1.5 right there in top menu.

Let us know on Monday if you are getting realtime quotes.

By the way, is Zerodha PI fast enough like Nest Trader? Anybody used it?

I do not know, whether Z Pi is fast enough or not, like NestTrader, as never used in real time.
But many a time, I have found that 1 min candles formed in Nest and Pi are quite different.

I've used it a lot and still do sometimes.
I don't think its in anyway better than NEST 3.11 which i used actively.
Pi was better then others as I needed charting and NEST is way behind when it comes to that, without a 3rd party charting platform running.

Pi wont hang, but even a few open charts, 6-8, shows substantial losad compared other platforms.
Worse is that Z has totally stopped its future development, I think only some bug fixes and new compliance related stuff causes it to update.

If you intend to just load a marketwatch (MAX 50 symbols) and pass orders, it will work smoothly.
250symbols with multi MW but only one will tream RTD.

Another everyday issue is Margin/Cash data will not update after market open.
If you click refresh, Pi will crash. This part is very painful.

since I've not used 3.14/3.16, i'm not in a position to really compare how troublesome the newer NEST versions are.

I'm not a fan of any of the web based trading portals but I've read at quite a few places where data extraction is possible. Have you tried/seen this ?

Fed up since long, moved to paid data vendor since Jan.
