hello fnds i am getting problem with data saving, every thing is perfect but am not able to save nd load the saved data ..plz hlp, RT from Now is working nd m getting tick on excels nd also backfill process is correct but i dont now where data is getting save nd wen i press backfill i dont now where it is getting saved ,even i have given my path as (C:\Program Files\AmiBroker\NowRTData)for both backfill and RTNOW excel ...am not getting any error with excel but data is not cumming to amibroker what is the mistake i am doing plz guide me>>

okay so here it is:

i started AB @9:10am & let it run till 3:30pm. then after i saved the database & took a screenshot of d chart.

volumewise there is big difference. but pricewise there is small difference at few places in terms of shadow of the candle (somewhere it is missing in Pic 2 compared to Pic 1)

Intraday Data is saved when you click on 'Stop RT data'. You do not have to do backfill again.

Volume will match if you take the filed equivalent to 'Volume Traded Today' from Trade Tiger. We are deducting previous volume each time we refresh data so that we get entire volume during refresh period rather than volume of current candle. In this way we do not miss volume of trades which are not saved.

Please, i request you to compile steps along with screen shots (after all the feedback and troubleshooting) on a excel sheet for various data sources
(google, yahoo, odin, sharekhan, trade tiger, etc...) and provide the link below your signature.

This will benefit us all.

do 1 thing - get the data from Hourly stat in NOW and see the data format. keep the required ones and discard the unnecessary.

Save it in excel csv format.

now the necessary part
write a macro to keep the necessary data and discarding the unnecessary data part . so on next time use that macro to get the proper backfill data.

in ami, import ascii , define a format file

so while u do the import - it will take very little time for conversion and import

[this part u have to do]

putting a macro for u - see what can be used here, record this macro after proper editing and use it. this macro is used mainly in DIET ODIN data conversion - make it fit for NOW backfill data ( i cud help up to this as i dont have any NOW hrly stat data with me as i use Nest Trader and there data is properly formatted - u only have to convert the data and time component)

for the ticker - save the csv as tickername.csv

and for date use =today() in col a and fill the subsequent cells under col a

it will solve ur problem
