Reliance is happening and Energy sector seems to be the flavour of the market and will continue in bull for coming years.

Its a best time to launch NFO and collect money and most of us would be tempted to buy. But My advice would be to go for Equity diversified which are consistantly performing you can always enter this sector when it corrects
and rather than going for NFO you have many existing schemes similar to this.
Reliance power is the one to name.

Could anyone give their views on taking a SIP of the Reliance Natural Resources fund. Will it be beneficial in the long run?

In long run i found almost every MF gives decent returns. In average you should invest in the MF on 3 years investment horizon.

And I belive the natural source fund y ou should have more long term view but being a sectorial fund you should keep tracking to swith if any thing affects this sector. For me it seems a good scope as the energy sources are doing good and the bussiness will grow.

Doing SIP will help to cushion the market cycle.
but personly i don't like SIP in sectorial fund you should choosse more diversified fund to make SIP.

hi all,
i definately agree to a point made above saying that reliance has been a well bred horse and investing in it would not put ur cash in trouble - however a very important aspect is certainly the issue - who manages this fund (an experienced and tough fund manager) would ensure how it performs. Even i invested in this fund to just try it out with 50000/-. Deep down in my heart i do have to keep my fingers crossed nevertheless. Any comments------
