Different brokers have different s/w and different branches have different level of services. Different investors have different story to tell. In my experience, while most have s/w problems, servicewise, I have come across problems that are worst with India Infoline. No broker had ever promised me anything that I can say false, execpting India Infoline. They train their boys or girls to follow a different principle that is to give false promises, trap for joining and extract more and much more. Once to my complaint to NSDL they even replied to NSDL stating: " The client is out of Mumbai" " and the matter has been mutually settled". I am in my hse 24 hrs. I do not know when and where I left Mumbai. So, they have the guts to belie even Governemnt organisation.
I had left most of the brokers just because of their s/w, and have finally settled for India Bulls and SSKI as till now I never had any problems with these 2. I am with SSKI since 2001. Software wise, I give more weightage to PIB as compared to Trade Tiger of SSKI. Servicewise, both are ok.
Regarding Ventura, I agree with you. One would definetely be impressed with speed of 'Pointer'. But have you seen their back office website?. I do not know whether only my PC has this problem though my PC has no problem with any other websites.
About Pointer, I have an interesting story to tell. On 2nd Jan 2010, I sold 20 Sterlite Opticals. I placed order to square off. The order was accepted. I sold another 25. Placed order for square off. This order was also accepted. I sold another 25. Cancelled previous 2 square off orders and replaced or modified it for 70. The order was rejected for want of 'Margin' money. I would like to make it clear that I sell only from my DP holdings and these shares are rotting in my DP for over 2 years. In otherwords, Ventura is the only broker I had come across who deducts margin money even for selling the shares held in DP. So as far as Ventura is concerned every sale is 'Short sale'. I had become member in May 2009 and after facing many problems, I had repeatedly taken up with them but in vain. Excepting 1 or 2 boys who attend to complaints promptly in their respecive jusidiction, rest all rest with the mails. Others are not bothered even to acknowledge!.( Pl. go thr: my article 'my experience with Ventura' in 'grievance coloumn) Therefore, I term their s/w 'Pointer' and service as handicapped. It is no use in continuing with them and rasing my tension. It is better to pay more and go with SSKI who only needs to upgrade their S/W.
