In the long term Rel. Power may outperform XYZ... but in the long term we'll all be dead. Better to stick with existing companies with running projects.

Who knows what type of Nandigrams, Medha Patkars and environmental objections new projects may face?

Is this beginning of an end to the "First day ipo listing gains..?"..
Few weeks back stocks like burnpur cement went from 12 rs to 50 rs..on the listing day...
so I guess..we can't see that kind of gains..for another 4 months..???

True, We should not go by brand name or hype. Just analyze the company and when it start yielding.

Or safe to bet to buy on Listing day(may be even less than IPO price)

Of course, this is end for at least 3-4 months for new IPO's. ;)

Guys,

May i have an honest opinion.... is it worth collecting Reliance Power while its trading below its IPO price... I mean I'm ready to Hold it for Five years... shld i go ahead and buy ?
