SEBI's new move to cut retailers participation in F&O!

Share that in avi garg whats app group also. And maybe in tradingqna page where the discussion is going on.
I'll try to popularize it. Post it also in general chit chat and trading thread to attract viewers here.
We need to build the protest on large-scale ASWAP.
I just shared it on tradingqna - it would be visible there. Please feel free to share this on the whatsapp group also. I will join the group in a little while but until then valuable time cannot be wasted!

Frankly speaking, it is a really big issue as there are a lot of retail individual traders and investors. It's a good vote bank.
The opposition party will love to take the issue. Tweet it to all including

Nothing gonna happen bro, :D if government have concern over common people, they already taken decision on oil prices, it's better to keep silence, because if mass request and complain raise about this issue, government likely to slap more taxes on investors, that is the practice till ...because they knows stock market investors are above average income group.

very discouraging news
one question @headstrong007 sir,my broker just transferred money back to my account as quarterly settlement.
so should I transfer this amount back to my trading account tomorrow?
or
should I consider its a time to quit trading?? because no matter what sebi wont listen to us because imo this is kadawa ghunt by modiji

taking @afin sirs post from other thread

I honestly don't think this is going to weigh open SEBI actually. It does seem to me that things would happen as they choose them to happen. Sorry for being a bit pessimistic but these players are too big.
@headstrong007 sir
sir there is some grey area about turnover part in option trading, which is adding sell value to it as a part of it.Nithin Kamath sir posted a petition.Though i dont know about option much i signed it being a part of trading community.
sir, that petition gone wasted as it had hardly considerable votes. Many trading options,it says that 70% of volume on NSE is due to option trading only but what happened to that petition inspite of starting it by Nithin Kamath ji of zerodha??

so,i am also agreed to what afin sir said

Having known how SEBI works for last many years, I am sure that if they have made up their mind to do something, they dont listen to any petitions, representations etc and they enforce their decisions. But we can make petitions and put our point of view but honestly I see very dim chances of they succeeding. We are seeing only our side but the Govt also may have some valid reasons for their views and they might have considered all pros and cons before they go public with those views.

But all is not lost and traders will come out as winners as always. In last many years traders met with many challenges such as SEBI tax, STT,Increase in lot size, requirement of audit based on our turnover, and more recently imposition of long term capital gains tax. In all the challenges, it was felt that trading profession is finished now but I have very strong faith in the adaptability of traders and evrytime traders not only adjusted with the change but came out stronger than before, so I am very confident that we traders will weather this storm as well.....so cheer up.....brighter days are ahead....
