sorry for type mistakes

from my past data analysis, i found scrips falls below 2.3 after crossover, 75% of chances are there for opposite crossover .
sorry tmnkin...disturbing you again...what is this 2.3?...

Hi

I am new to this trading. I am interested in NIFTY options.
Can anyone provide me basics of Options and NIFTY trends.

I checked few posts in this thread and came to know this is the right place where i can get my required information...

But unfortunately i stuck up in the beginning while trying to understand the concepts.

Now in simple terms, if our immediate average price is higher than the medium term average price that means we are entering in a bull swing ... and visa versa. Hence the strategy entries are:

1 Enter Long when 3 EMA goes above 15 EMA
2 Enter Short when 3 EMA goes below 15 EMA

In this i have no idea what is EMA... How to calculate 3 EMA and 15 EMA. On what basis i need to calculate them..
Can i anybody provide theory/documents or urls to get the information regarding this.

if possible Please mail me to xxxxxxxxxl.com

Thanks a lot for the help.

Mohan

its 2.3% but remember in some cases scrips bounced back even after touching more than 3% low, but mostly after touching 2.3% low on close low stocks failed to bounce back, and opposite crossover happens sooner or later

Hi Mr. Mohan this is thiru from chennai,

Exponential Moving Average - EMA
A type of moving average that is similar to a simple moving average, except that more weight is given to the latest data. The exponential moving average is also known as "exponentially weighted moving average".

Dear Mohan - if you are an absolute beginner, please go through the information on these two sites....

http://www.swing-trade-stocks.com - on the left hand side you will see links to a lot of information re swing trading (including EMA).

http://www.babypips.com/school - again on the left hand side, a lot of information starting from basic stuff which you need.

You do not need to calculate EMA manually, you can plot them on price charts .. try google or yahoo charts.

315 gave a sell signal on EOD today. So positions should be shorts and carrying 1 lot.

The previous bullish 315 swing on NF gave a profit of 500+ points .. enjoy!

Quick update on Nifty trades since the last trade (posted above).

Short on 17/08/2010 at 5424 (profit of 500+ points on previous long booked)
Long on 18/08/2010 at 5483 (loss of 59 points on previous short booked)
Short on 27/08/2010 at 5415 (loss of 68 points on previous long booked)
Long on 2/9/2010 at 5489 (loss of 74 points on previous short booked)

Currently Nifty at 5900+ so our NF longs based on 315 trade is again in profits of 500+ on one lot .

No ADDS yet.

As you can see from above, with markets going rangebound in August, we got 3 consecutive whipsaws which generated small losses. However sticking to the system always pays, and hence the current big gain has already covered more than what we lost in those 3 trades.

Enjoy disciplined trading & the resultant profits :thumb:

Cheers
