But dlf is gap down how did you generate profits on this trade today..?!

I do not have position in DLF. I was just trying to check how sotware works.
Cound not understand the data posted on software hence raised query....

Bhuransandip - I remember a software called chart alert which had the functionality to scan for any EMA crossover (the EMA values could be customised).

However I do not use it since I just stick to my list of 20 stocks.

I do the same. But as you said correctly this data is available very late sometimes in the night.
If you refer this thread, normally new positions are taken at the end of the day considering 3.15pm as closing price. This help taking advantage of next day...
With google finance I am able to take the position only next day morning....

I can only suggest a manual way of taking position same day:
Make a portfolio on yahoo for your selected scrips (like SH has 20 scrips). Download their prices at 3:10pm. put them in excel sheet to calculate ema and crossover. take position.
This route does not require any real-time data downloader.

NS 15EMA is 6170.
If NS goes below this level then should we add one more lot?
Am I correct?

But 3EMA is at 6236 & if market open @6170 then it should be exit time as candle will not be touching to 3EMA?

So what should be correct approch in today's trade?

Quotetracker is a software that has been mentioned many times in this thread before. It calculates last readings of the stock as closing irrespective of time and its realtime but supports only NSE Cash.

I have also sent a suggestion to google to allow semi-formation of candlestick for current day, i would suggest all google finance users to do the same it will add priorities to our requests !

if you have amibroker it will be easier than tracking them thru excel sheets.
