SH's 315 Strategy - how to use if effectively

Hi all
I have made excel sheet for calculating EMA.Values in the sheet are of Nifty spot.Those who do not have Real time charts can use these sheet.Just around 3:15 pm enter the value and you will get all emas.Hope this will help.Correct me if any thing you find wrong in the sheet.Thanks.

I don't know EMA formula. I just saw what you have plugged in xls file.
Till now, I was under impression that formula will take last 3days value for calculating 3EMA (&15days value for 15EMA). But it seems you are considering only last two days while calculating EMA.
I am bit confused about logic. Appreciate your advice.

When first time calculating EMA you need 3 day SMA,since I have those figures I have directly put them in the sheet.Actual procedure is..put all prices..then calculate SMA and then EMA.If you want details you can check on http://stockcharts.com/school/doku.php?id=chart_school:technical_indicators:moving_averages

Sanjay is right. To calculate 3 EMA as of today, we need last two days closing price and todays current price at 3.15 PM or 3.20 PM (assuming markets wont move much in last 10-15 minutes).

I am not yet short. I am holding my longs and will short only if 5 EMA crosses over 100 EMA.

OK guys - longs in 140 points profit. 15 EMA is around 5960.

I will book at around 5950-5960 and try short there based on 315 rules :thumb:

I dont understand how you went long.
I mean the last signal was a sell signal and a buy signal is yet to come, at least according to the charts, I am watching.
