SH's 315 Strategy - how to use if effectively

I think if Nifty touch 5944 then we exit long.

What ur strategy (long/short ) for tomorrow at closing based on 315 rules.

What I thought abt exit was that any time during the day opposite 315 crossover happens, we should exit. Pls clear.

Nope, the exit is also at 3.25 ...intraday crossovers might not sustain by EOD hence should be ignored.

Dear sh,
Please answer my Q

if 15 EMA is touched ... I will book longs partially or hedge it by buying puts.

If 315 bullish crossover happens, I will exit puts and let the longs run.

If 15 EMA resists longs, I will exit future longs and hold puts.

You can take this long in ACC based on 315.

The success of 315 is not dependent on WHAT stock you use it on ... its dependent on HOW CONSISTENTLY can you trade that stock using 315 ... signal after signal after signal without bothering about whipsaws....

If you think you can trade next 10-15 signals of 315 on ACC consistenlty .. please go ahead... if not ... stick to Nifty.

Hi SH,

315 is good signal for stocks also & most of the time it works very well for first two days. Hence I take position next day looking at stock if it has opened below cross over & we have sell signal as per 315 then I take position it it for intraday & square off position..... whatever profit I am comfortable with. Again next day I repeat the same thing.
It limits my potential profit but also help to avoid from risk of whipsaw.

You mean ACC is not a good stock to apply 3 15 strategy?
I actually saw the charts of ACC , because I read somewhere in your earlier posts that you traded in it too.
I am a little confused now.

He never said AAC is not a good stock. This strategy is applicable to every stock out there provided it is volatile.

More the volumes more will be the effectiveness of the strategy.

along with this strategy..and keeping a watch on stocks .. it is always good to keep an eye on Index as well..

Also for TATASTEEL..... it is in range for 600-640... so keep a watch..
