SH's 315 Strategy - how to use if effectively

Last 4 whipsaw's we had were after Diwali nifty gave a nice 500point movement :)
The problem with most of us here (include me) is that we are unable to catch the BIG move of 500 points due to Fear and get whipped every time when the system "whips"..... key to any system is discipline!!! :D
SH's intraday system is also good for the disciplined ONLY!!!! :) rather systems work only if we are disciplined otherwise the system will surely fail!! Well wrong to say system fails... its we the traders fail.....

for intraday nifty you can try 5-55 EMA will give you much better results but these can not match 315 for EOD. Rest this is best for EOD only. Try to backtest and give the results plz.
Hi Looser,

Basically this depends on Time Frame and 5-min , & on 15 samples (1hr 15 min) is OK.

@munde_77 in any charting tools you have to go to the daily timeframe and use 3 EMA(close) and 15EMA(close). Go as back as possible and check out the crossover entry exit points. Calculate the profits and losses in the method keeping sufficient spillage for late entries and exits. By the way I dont use amibroker. I'm an amatuer and use just Jcharts. My nature of work doesn't allow me to trade in shorter timeframe. This strategy fits perfectly with my schedule. Sometimes see the weekly 315 crossover for confirmation of the trend and its continuation.
Thanks . Sorry for delay in thanking

We are in long for nifty.

I wish some clarification for exiting value to be decided.

In one of the threads I saw a excel sheet exit values are written at 15 EMA value. But there will be a lag between realtime price and 15 EMA value

Request clarification.

regards

I understood longs to be exited when 15 ema and 3 ema cross ovewe need to go long or short based on whichever is higher.

present value of 5475 if we calculate 15 ema is higher than 3 ema. does it mean we need to square of longs and enter short?

Request experienced forum members on this point.
