SH's 315 Strategy - how to use if effectively

Hi Sunny , You are absolutely right. Last sell signal was given on 9/5/2011 at 420.45 at close 3ema 440.68 and 15 ema 449.36

It gave buy signal 375.8 at close 3ema 372.61 and 371.19.

I will do backtest and Keep track of stock. This stock is in a consolidation phase for the last one month. It was given a buy signal on Friday as per 315 strategy. This seems to be good entry

So nice to read your offer to analyse Piramal to help others!!

Munde, chart of Piramal looks neat in the present time, but do have a look at June to October 2010, between July and September there are continous 10 whipping trades... to be frank, I did not write the trades on paper, but the Chart at a glance shows like that only!!

I would be wary of taking a position in Pirmal purely as per 315 strategy. One may use it if he is holding Piramal in his LT portfolio to exit and reenter in the stock at lower levels!! Personally a bit hesitant to recommend trading in it on purely 315 strategy!!!

Sir do you know any software that can give EOD data for futures...right now i m using Chart nexus and only get cash data....

Its not a crossover.... only the 15EMA and price bar are touching.. crossover should be around ~5525

OR

did you mean that the Price has crossed over 15 EMA!!!

Yes the price has moved above 15 ema how do you arrive at the tentative figure of 5525 ( i Would like to know how it is calculated)

Somewhere here in this Thread, there is an Excel sheet posted where you can feed in the closing values till previous day and it displays the current days EMA 3 and 15 for a range of values, check the value where the EMA's would cross again!!

NF at 5484 has closed on 24th above the 15EMA which is at 5410 and 3EMA which is at 5395

On Monday if NF closes above 5450, there will be a bullish 315 crossover.

On Thursday itself Bank Nifty, ICICI Bank and Infy have given bullish crossovers.

SBI looks to be on the verge of a bullish cross over (after nearly two months) and am watching that closely.

Looks like we ain for some exciting times.
