SH's 315 Strategy - how to use if effectively

Ranbaxy is also still a buy generated on 27/06/11 3ema is 534.73 and 15 ema is 533.75

I am holding ranbaxy in my 315 paper trading portfolio

Bharti Air is still a buy generated on 17/06/2011. Today 3 ema close 389.2 and 15 ema close is 386.64

Hi munde
Your success in paper trading using 315 strategy really impressed me and made me follow this thread. And thanks to tradewithhunter it is giving good returns.
I had few doubts
is this cash or future chart?
What is the source of charts u r obtaining real time data from?

aSking this because in cash charts at icharts.in the EMa3 is 387.2 and ema15 is 387.3 so there is a very marginal crossover.

One more question
How do u know which stocks have crossed over? I mean do u check them individually or do u have a software which notifies u whenever this happens?

Regards
Arjun

Hi Arjun, This is futures chart. As shortng in cash and holding it is not allowed in cash we trade in futures.
I am using Nimbledata of Globaldatafeeds. I am using amibroker. If 3ema is mor than 15 ema at 3.25 it is a buy and vice versa. Don`t get impressed too soon. Volatile markets will give 3/4 small whipsaws before catching a big trend. So we should be ready for these whipsaws

Hello munde_77 i am still learning SH 315 so wanted to ask a doubt. Bharti Airtel 3EMA is below 15EMA today, so does that mean we short?

You have to take decision between at 3.25 to avoid whipsaws. You go through the starting pages of this strategy. If 3 ema is less than 15 ema at 3.25 pm today than you can short bharti airtel
