SH's 315 Strategy - how to use if effectively

If even a single person writes here that I am somehow disturbing the Thread , I will stop it in future!! But I do feel that by getting different views at times something good can emerge from them.
All the best.
This is WRONG Attitude.
You have the RIGHT to Ignore those people.
This is an Open Forum. Your answers are well within the purview of the thread.

Do those people think you will get (I don't know what) by proving yourself more than SH? Is TraderJi giving some extra brownie points???

Your comments are most welcomed and even if they may differ, challenge at any point (or may confuse like mine did :p), they are the one which clears the understanding the most.

Meanwhile, based on Y'days market, IMHO, One should have gone Short again at End of Day due to EMA touch (after obviously covering the previous long in morning due to Gap Down). Right?

Hello all,
I have received a couple of PM's telling me that with the last detailed Post against a query directed at SH(TWH) I am trying to show "one up manship" also telling me that I am trying to prove my self better than SH!!!

Friends let me put it here once again, I respect SH as much as any other person here if not more, not only because he shares his observations and strategies without seeking anything in return but also for the "time" he gives in replying to the queries. Its not an easy task to monitor such an active thread regulalrly but he does it.
I wrote what I have understood about 315 and have no intention of hijacking the thread from SH, which I cannot wvwn if I tried.. and for what would I do it.
My simple request : I dont mind being criticised but please do it here in the open, dont send me PM's complainting and asking me to stop posting here and asking me further to concentrate on the other thread started by me.
I wanted to copy paste the nasty PM's here but that would only escalte war of words!!

Hi RK...If Dogs bark on a road, do you stop using that road? Ignore them and if they still follow you, thrash them. That is the way to get rid of these dogs.

Seriously I know it hurts, when these idiots who want free tips and strategies try to preach, but they are also like dogs....Ignore them or if they still bark, expose them.....we have moderators here who will take care by banning them

I am trying to answer per my understanding, so beware of errors :

When we are in a SELL mode and we get a Candle whose low is not touching 3EMA, it would mean the entire Candle is above 3EMA !!! Look at the candles on 7th Oct or 1st Dec.. are you seeking clarification on such a situation?
The original rule of exit is : If Candle is not touching 3EMA at open and has opened significantly away we exit. The 2 consecutive rise in 3EMA was another of SH’s novel observation. He simply gave one more way of exiting and left it on us to choose between the two! He did not prefer anyone on the other!

We are in SELL mode and candle high is not touching 15 EMA, right. Now we are waiting for for ADD to short position, that means we are already in profit in the trade. The high of the candle is not touching 15EMA and you say that the next day there is a Gap up opening, and the gap is wide enough so that even the Low of the candle is not touching 15 EMA… well I cannot confirm 100% but as there is something similar in an almost identical strategy I use I can say that in almost 100% of such move end up reversing the crossover… i.e this gap up candle would usually give a reversal of trend….. hence it is advisable that we add when we see the price moving down again.. (Warning: This may not be as per 315 original strategy of TWH) Why don’t you eye ball some NF charts and point out such candles!! It will be helpful in getting a clarification from all who know much better than we do this strategy.

Here again the move must be a jump in contra direction for this to happen. Usually when a candle moves down to touch 15EMA the high usually remains touching 3EMA.. a big move may mean a reversal on cards bit surely we cannot be 100% sure of the reversal before it actually happens. I would prefer to add on 3EMA touch as to me it signifies that the move has started back in the original direction. This again warrants a Warning: This may not be as per 315 original strategy of TWH.

This may differ from person to person. Nothing was specified by TWH in the thread. Hopefully he may do so now. One can think of his new suggestion of 2 consecutive contra moves by 3EMA.

The decision to exit on 3EMA not touching is to be taken at the “open” only and not subsequently. When you say that market closes with a big ‘gap’ you probably mean to say that the market ‘moves’ significantly down by say 50/60 points… if this what you wish to say then an exit is out of question as the move is in our trades direction and it may continue to go down subsequently too. Moreover do understand the mechanism of the EMA movement.. as the market moves down and closes lower so also the 3EMA moves down and get lower.. a down move in Nifty by 60 points does not mean an increase of 50/60 points difference between close and 3EMA at that point. The gap may not increase as much as you are anticipating.

This is a very subjective thing and will differ from person to person and SH is the best person to guide what should be the “standard” distance for this !!!

Note : These are my views as I have understood the 315 strategy and may kindly be considered accordingly.
Hi all,

First of all I would like to say that Rkkkarnani has been following 315 strategy almost from the beginning and I believe he has a very good understanding of the rules of the strategy. Not just understanding of the rules, it's very obvious he has understood the concept and logic behind 'why' a rule would work and won't work in some scenarios.

I have never found any response from RK in bad taste hence a bit shocked with any rude PM he would have recieved.

Coming back to the queries of mangup - first of all apologies for a late response, some personal commitments at home are not letting me devote much time to answer posts in details.

For a quicker response - I would appreciate if users can post actual charts with their questions as its much easier to understand the questions. This helps in replying quickly as well.

Mangup - Can i request you to put some charts along with each question so that there is no scope for ambiguity when I respond.

Cheers
SH

Hi tb: Whenever the term 'touch' is used it is only the ' body touch " & not the top wick / bottom wick alone ! Is n't it ? This clarification would make my understanding better. Thx a lot in advance ..
touch is always including the wicks and the body of the candle...

But to track whether a candle is touching 3ema or not..say in case of shorts, we just have to see if the top of the upper wick (high) is touching the line or not.If it touches then the candle and 3ema are touching.

Similarly, in case of longs ..if bottom of the lower wick (low) is touching the 3ema then the entire candle is above the 3ema line and touch occurs.

Hence top of the upper wick(high) and bottom of the lower wick(low) are used for tracking whether the entire candle is touching at a given point of time or not.
touch can occur anywhere on the candle we just track it using top and bottom of upper and lower wick respectively.

Just check whether the high of the candle is more than or equal to the 3EMA value in case where we are short. Basically the touch rule is very slightly subjective or you may say has been interpretted a bit differently : The touch comes into picture only when we have exited a trade, i.e. we are no longer in a trade. There can be more than one scenarios :
Say we are short :
01. Market opens in our direction with a gap and at open the price is away by say 40 points ( or whatever we have chosen) We do 2 things here. We note the 3EMA value and we Exit our Trade. We simply give a Sell order at the 3EMA value we had noted. The 3EMA value is reached and we are back into the trade.
02. Market opens in our direction with a gap and at open the price is away by say 40 points ( or whatever we have chosen) We do 2 things here. We note the 3EMA value and we Exit our Trade. We simply give a Sell order at the 3EMA value we had noted. The 3EMA value is NOT reached and we are out of trade. This I think is a tricky part : To reenter the trade, because at times the reentry in such cases may be at lower than our exit levels. Here we have to watch the "touch" nearing close for reentry. As discussed N number of times earlier by many that 3EMA has a dynamically changing value during the day thus we cannot give a pre determined value where to reenter. 3EMA would go higher as CMP rises and if it continues to rise may not give a 3EMA touch at close. However if after rising CMP comes down we can get a 3EMA touch at higher levels as a 'high' is created in price candle!!!

As long SHji dose not object means you are on the right track,or he may correct you also. That is fine. For others let them have their say, please dont let it stop your R&D and posting the results here. You are simply doing a selfless, fantastic job here(be sure about it),whether anybody acknowledge it or not. Thanks. Partha Roy

Even if so, it is high praise for TWH. As you know, our culture believes that गुरु गुड चेला शक्कर is high praise for the teacher.

You try that and the members will riot and get a court order to bring you back :D :D
