SH's 315 Strategy - how to use if effectively

Please correct me if I'm wrong. For a bearish crossover, the price has to close below 15 EMA today (which looks likely as of now), but don't we have to wait until tomorrow to see if 3 EMA also closes below the 15 EMA?
If NF < 5352, 3EMA will be < 15 EMA and thus a bearish crossover.

Current NF ~ 5348, so close call.

One observation would like SH to comment on the same. Today it is the 2nd consecutive day when 3 EMA will be moving downwards so as per Rule one should exit longs. But since Nifty in 30 min is in GZF so as per that Rule it will go to 15 EMA so inspite of removing longs here can wait for 15 EMA touch in 30 min to exit. By this one can save 30-40 points which probably is the loss when entered yesterday at 15 EMA (daily) touch

Status at EOD 16th March-

Last Trading Price - 5334.55
3EMA - 5386.81
15EMA - 5393.43

Strategy - Since 3EMA < 15EMA - GO SHORT

Note: - After a Loooooooong Up Trend, we had 2 Whipsaws followed by 2 small trends (One on SHORT side and other ON Long Side). What Next ...Time will tell....

Happy Weekend

hmm... 5DMA had given a bearish SAR of 5431 yesterday... hmm... ...
So TP Bhai, One could have saved 100 points on the downside...with carrying shorts as per the original 315 rule EOD...Can anyone now make some rules and backtest it???

I am using Sharekhan's TT, so I don't have access to Nifty futures continuous. Maybe the amibroker guys can do it. I can get Nifty spot back data and do a test run. Anyway, I'll be keeping a eye on your excel file in future.

Thanks again :thumb:

Edit : Actually 5DMA also make sense in another way - 5 days is one trading week.

Dear sunirhs & timepass,

1. Can u pl tell the concept that is being suggested unable to get fr file?
2. Is it SMA or EMA?
