Your BUY call based on any Rules as per this thread? or a new suggestion by you? This may confuse a few if this is not as per Rules of this thread!! Please clarify on what basis this is a BUY though the crossover has not happened!!! It was an exit from Short as 3 ema had consecutive 2 days upmove!!
Do share in a sister thread where we discuss how to tweak this strategy How can we get early entires to enhance profits. I use lower time frame to do it.. but not to be discussed here!!

As suggested by rkkarnani quiet some time back, (before the 3EMA contra move exit was suggested by SH,) to enter long the next day on breach of crossover high + filter and also his suggestion to track the moves intraday particularly on the day when its nearing crossover...has really been helpful.

I would like to Post a WARNING!! hazarding many members would not like it :

DO NOT TRADE 315 STRATEGY JUST ON 3 AND 15 EMA ALONE. IT WILL BE INJURIOUS TO YOUR WEALTH!!!

One needs to be well versed with 3EMA exits and 15 EMA adds to go for trading based on this strategy!!

It might have further been improved with the NEW exit rules but have not gone through them hence not commenting on them!!

I repeat : Do not trade the Crossovers only, the strategy by SH has much more in it than simple crossovers!!!
The present trade may reinforce your view... on plain crossover, we had a Short at ~4930 on 30th May, it did a low of ~4760 and if it remains high today will reverse to Long at 5000+!! So one needs to trade the entire strategy and not the crossover alone !!! The short at 4930 was exited at close yesterday when 3EMA close was higher on 2 consecutive occassions !!

just in case anyone is interested - Nifty's 315 crossover point on the downside is at 4866.05
Thanks Ashish10, please keep posting such useful info, there are a lot of interested traders. The whipsaws in recent months may have shaken their confidence but they still would like to read about it.

Do you have some more strategies with some sort of technical analysis which can be tried with automated trading software as I have this software but not able to use it effectively and profitably.

I am a bit confused about the SL. At one point SH mentioned to move the SL to the entry point once the trade is in sufficient profits. In another posts he has mentioned that there is no SL for this strategy and we just need to reverse trade as and when we get the reversal signal. So , what is the experience of people here? Should we have a SL or not? If a SL is advisable, please also explain the re-entry strategy after the SL has been hit.

Dear srivastav,
If you asking about 315 method then there is no stoploss....please read rules and correct it ...we not use stops but if 3ema against our posetion contineously 2 days then we exit ....but no stops...Please reread rules ....
