SH's 315 Strategy - how to use if effectively

I want to understand how to trade rollovers. Yesterday I closed my MINIFTY July short position at around 5070 (although immidiately after that NF tanked). At that time Minifty Aug was trading at around 5120 levels. Should I have shorted Aug future at that price, given the difference of about 50 points? I am a new trader so didnt quite understand what to do. Should I short today? As per icharts, NF has retouched 15 EMA.

I am using google finance to view charts, but when I view the daily chart, I wont be able to view the current days eod status. Is there any setting that I should do?. Thanks in advance.

Minifty had a crossover yesterday.
Close-5240.8
3EMA-5205.16
15EMA-5204.23

Gave opportunity to enter long as it made a low of 5229 today before returning to green, now half a percent up. Reversal to sell if close below 5203.

I too use Google finance. Most charting websites take some time to show the EOD data. You will not get it at 4pm. I am talking about both Google Finance and iCharts. If you check after 7pm, you will have the EOD data.

As Angrish suggested icharts is good too. See also chartink.

Thank you for the reply. I have a question. As per the 315 strategy, we have to enter between 3.25 and 3.30 pm. How do I verify the rates using chart during this period? Does the paid service in iCharts give this information? Would be great if someone can clarify this. Thanks.

Why don't you use excel sheet posted in this thread somewhere to observe price movement with the two ema's (numerical values ) to take a decision??? It is free of cost, and very precise..
