he is posting 2 make new clients. pl dnt be naive abt vendor intentions.
strategy has shown negative returns on long term nd no one is discusng tht but supporting vendors wid hidden agenda
Just go back a few Posts and have posted my response to RtheR's analysis!!! I sincerely believe that this strategy cannot be 'back-tested' with any system tester!!! I have not analysed it historically as yet, but eyeballing charts of past 6 months just give an indication that you cannot also rubbish it as 'trash'!!!
I did see RthrR's Excel sheet giving trade details where I find he has missed out a few exits or reentries which would change the scenario to a bit better results!! I am very sure it has not been done intentionally by him but these exits, reentires or adds are sort of discretionary trades hence the parameters cannot be incorporated into a 'system tester'. Hence I feel there is no big issue to discuss the 'analysis' posted by RtheR!!! (No offence meant please!!)
One may do bar by bar analysis manually but the results would differ from person to person!!! The strategy have its own weak as well strong points. This is true for all strategies as there is and I firmly believe there is no Holy Grail !!! It is always good to have people 'criticizing' a strategy , that help us in improving the same...but there need to be some logic behind. Yes!!! EMA or SMA crossover are weak set ups but the additional rules suggested by SH to exit on 3EMA not touching, reentering on pullback to 3 EMA or Add on pull back to 15 EMA when original entry is in profit goes a long way in minimising a lot of weakness associated with crossovers!!!
Caution: This my $0.02 and prone to error!!! This just 'food for thought'!!
