OK guys, huge gap down and 3 EMA not touched....

Nifty shorts covered now at 4735 originally shorted at 5080. Profit 345 points!

Unitech shorts covered now at 69 shorted at 83. Profit 14 points or Rs 63000 per lot.

IFCI shorts covered now at 48.50 shorted at 54. Profit 5.50 or Rs 43340 per lot.

SAIL shorts booked now at 204 shorted at 235. Profit Rs 31 or Rs 41850 per lot.

Total Profit booked : Rs 1,65,000 approx :thanx:

HOlding ICICI shorts still....

Have bought some OTM calls in each of these stocks out of the profit since I expect some technical bounceback... however this is not as per 315.

Hi TH,
lots of thanks for giving your strategy. I don't understand one thing. You mention 3ema not touching. I observe investbull's chart, I find 3ema going through all candles.Perhaps I am missing something. Will you pl clarify?
Thanks again.

Dear SH

We exited Nifty on 5th Feb as candle was not touching EMA 3 at all. Would like to know is the time of exit? .. at the EOD or during opening when the Nifty opened with a gap down?.

Similarly on 6th Feb, Candle has touched 3EMA which would mean according to 315, that we enter shorts again.. Question is when? at EOD?

thks

Hello SH,

I have been reading your thread for few months. You are guiding & mentoring several members. Now your 315 has shown profit in recent market slide also. I feel more convinced about it as something better than anything I have. Thanks for sharing so much.

Hi SH,

I would like to suggest few things for 315 re-entry :
As per 315 strategy "The exit points are where you find our 'current' EOD candle is not touching 3 EMA at all. On this candle, we book profits and wait for markets to correct back and touch 3 EMA again. As soon as 3EMA is touched we jump back into our initiaal position."

Before jumping back to our initial position I suggest to look for trend of 3 EMA. If it is in the direction of the original trend (Up for Long and Down for Short) then we should jump back into our initial position. BUT if 3EMA direction is against our original position then I suggest to wait and watch. Once 3 EMA turns in the direction of our original position then we can jump.

This is just a suggestion to improve SH315 strategy. All your comments are welcome.

Hi,

Pls find attached below CAIRN chart from 1-Dec-09. Whenever we exit at candle not touching 3EMA one shud wait n watch for next candle touching 3EMA. If the close of candle is below previous non-touching candle or 3EMA is in opposite direction (here downward) then avoid re-entry. Once the 3EMA changes its direction and close of current candle is above previous candle then one can think of re-enrty. Also it is observed that when our position is suddenly in deep profits because of an extreme rally or crash in our favour, the stock tends to correct either way.

All your Comments are always welcome specially from SH and people trading this strategy.
