SH's Intraday Strategy - ELH5

Strength of the system is it's predetermined entry / exit / stop loss.... where on some days... market moves 80 points in one direction and this setup captures 3 trades of 20 each on the same direction.

Any ATR based stoploss will ruin the edge of this system.

Again, its just my opinion and you have to judge it yourself, from your experience based on what you observe on historical prices.
got it, thanx

the bar replay method is an eye opener for any newbie like me..it gives almost like a live experience and you get an idea of the slippages as well, i did try it in a narrow range month July 2010 and found that many methods give us losses in this month, even elh5, exploring further now.

Very good Idea (momentum trading) but not very good entry points defenition.
Here is afl I've made to test this strategy. Maybe someone can improve this...
Excellent coding...! will give it a look once i return from my holidays.

A point i found effective is using adx as a filter. since we normally enter only when a strong trend is established and entry is normally on a retracement, with fixed stoploss, it makes sense in using a delayed indicator like adx.

Another filtering mechanism i found effective is when no new high / low is made in the last 20 bars. It normally signifies a balanced market and lack of trend.

It has no problem with filtering IMO, I've tried to filter trend with VMA (can see code in afl), it gave some results but didnt improve entries, I think we must redefine entry points themselves. Idea is maybe using pivot points maybe nearest support/resistance didnt test this yet...
