SH's Intraday Strategy - ELH5

linkon da my objective was not to compare it with trend following systems. What I meant is that sometimes we do get a huge move downwards but since we have already kept a pre decided target and have got out of the trade we miss out on the big move. From my limited abservation in one or two stocks i have seen some times the Adx does tend to be on an upward slope. My aim was to see if I could somehow figure a way to make the big moves count too.
Again as I said I havent really tested it and this was just a thought in my mind and may be wrong. Also I dont have any real experiece in following the trend following systems too. So my observation might be flawed. Thanks for correcting me...:)

look at the amount of times we didnt get a big move vrs the amount of times we got a big move.

If we adjust our settings to capture the bigger move, then many times we might not get the 20 that we got on many occasions before...

This a system that relies on taking small bites when a trend is established. Sometimes, these small nibbling add up very well... sometimes, we fail to net a big one, but its a compromise we have to live with.

I agree with your adx observation. But since this system doesnt enter on the first sign of trend reversal, it waits for a retracement for entry, adx does solve a purpose.

Personally, i think we need to re-define the trend definition and a simple ema-60 of the close will do the task just fine... if price is above ema..take all the long trades and ignore the short ones...

This system taught me the power of pre-dermined entry / exit and a big fact that waiting for confirmation will lead to bad trade location... have a preset condition for trend detection and enter blindly with mental preperation of a max loss of 20 points...
Hi...linkon,

The secret, if any, of this system lies in there. Risk per trade is fixed which most of the other indicators system does not have. we look after loss making side and system will look into profit making side.:)

hi any one can tell me

is that candle outside the EMAS should be of two candles in row. back to back two candles. (((suppose first candle closed outside EMA then second inside and than third EMA outside. it can be trigger )))or there should be back to back candles in row.
