thanks for all the efforts. :clapping:

wanna ask can 'price channels' be another option for the purpose. As it can suggest a base price, if bar beyond that, then usually it will come back to base after that either go back towards last trade direction, or continue reversing. also after returning to base it is easy to decide rentry.

i checked this on nifty spot past data chart visually, looking good. plz wen possible see & comment.

right now not able to draw it intraday. if anybody can plz post the chart with intraday. it will be very helpful.

For Renuka, is the sma17 band with 15% spread able to contain 95% of the candles ?

I plotted an envelope with 17 SMA and 7% width. As per the chart, NIFTY will be in fools area around 5250.

Yes.. as of today. But the coming days may bring down the upper limit.

TWH, are the candles touching the envelope in February (10-11) and April (4-5)??

Looking at them closely, they are inside the envelope, hence not really in the 5% range.

The EMA data also shows the candles missing the border by a few points.

Another thing, the April 4-5 candles.. your chart shows them clearly outside the envelope, whereas the chart that I am seeing does not. For 4th April, the data is :
Open : 5842.00, High :5918.70, Low :5833.20, Close :5908.45, SMA17 : 5586.66, Lower border : 5251.4604, Upper Border : 5921.8596.
So, as per the data, the high of the day is missing the border by about 2.5 points.
