Yes Amit.
I want to hold for long time. If they are good enough, I will keep them longer than 2 years.
But everybody is talking about market correction and if this were to happen, it will wipe out all the profits! That's the reason I am bit nervous.
I know that, the good companies will deliver inspite of correction or market collapse.
Still there is some tension.....!!
I have never tried derivatives and also have never studied its way of working.
I want to study about that first, before starting playing.
So, can you provide me some links where I can learn about this? Regards, Narendra

You have rightly said, a good company will outlast corrections. There are people who hold for several years and have built wealth despite some pretty savage blood-baths in the markets in the past.
About derivatives...there are books around, but I'd suggest for starters you learn tech analysis. Learning derivatives would be the next stage. There is plenty of references to good books in the forum.

I am sorry if I missed your views on STARPAPER, NARMADA CHEMATUR and UCO BANK earlier. Could you throw some light on these?

I have Narmdchema (1000 @ 41.45) and UCO (2500 @ 32.10). What should I be looking out for in those.

Was trying to take STARPAPER but it ran away too fast today. Is it still a buy at CMP ~111?

From yesterday's call:
UCAL Fuel called at 270 closed at 277 after testing 289 off.
CenEnka called at 249 closed 256 after 264 high.
HighTech Gears called at 173.55 closed 195 after 197 high.
REI Agro closed 204 after 211 high. Called at 188.
At some point during the late session, funds were diverted to midcaps where the rally came for scrips outside the indexes. Past 2.30, the money churned back to largecaps taking the indexes up past the flat trade all day.

As I had suggested earlier, Rolta is heading to 200 initially, after a close at 179 off today. Way high to enter easily, I'd say...but it's going places in the mid term apparently.
Could be a nice intraday play for tomorrow too...after a pull back at profit booking in the morning. Cautiously though...this is known to move several %points in either direction quickly.
