Hi Amit,
Tried my level best to get Cummins...
Frustrating ICICI direct... didn't let me log in for 10 minutes....
Placed a market order... showing queued....
Lets see... will expire in some time.... :(
Order Rejected ... :(
Hi amitkr,
Never mind, the rally when it comes is still fresh and you could get on Tuesday.

I had called Cummins in my fist post in this thread at 132. From there it has moved up and now has given a breakout after consolidatig, on over 6.5 lakh volume to close 153.30. The first near term taget is 165. In a matter of time 175-180 cannot be ruled out.

Besides Gammon, the other good move has come from Ind Swift Labs. Had called it at 199, and finished today at 224.75 after intra high of 232.60. The targets are 238, 245, and way above, but not all at once.

From amongst my earlier calls, Godrej is making some telling moves. Will update on Tuesday. A great mover when the rally comes. It's long awaited.

Aksh Optifibre is another scrip I have my eyes on, and has given a breakout today at 64.60 after intra high of 67 off on good volumes. Will update Tuesday.

On Aptecht and NRC: Both are great scrips so be patient.
As I had suggested this moning on Aptecht, it tends to be very sensitive to the indexes. That's what happened today.
NRC is going to be a play on the real estate value, the news for which will come soon enough.
See what's happened to Bata and Bombay Dyeing.
When was the last time anyone here bought anything from Bata? They have a whole big Bata Nagar to develop, and many many retail propeties adding value to the scrip. I will not be surprised if Bata hits 170 in due course.
Bombay Dyeing is the same.
Besides NRC's own merit which I see taking the scrip to 75, it will too take off on some big real estate deals cooking.

Have a grreat weekend.

Hi AMITBE

Thanx for your excellent calls. ;)
I am in Gammon from 268 at your call. Now it has touched 302.25. Should i book profits here or there are still juices left in it because from graph it seems to be having a great resistance at this level.
Pl guide on this.

cheers
Neeraj :)

Hi Neeraj,
Speaking about graphs/charts, at 302.35 close today, this is the first time Gammon has closed above all its levels since mid March at the stock split.
Theoratically then, on charts the real buy signal has only been generated now.
If you are willing to hold, the resistance at 305 is a temporary matter, and closing above that, the target from the charts is 320 first and on to 350 plus.
It will take time.
Yes there will be corrections and consolidations on the way.
I'm holding.

Hi ncdx, thanks and welcome to this great forum and to my thread.
I'll certainly be making some calls over the weekend...probably on Monday.
I'm glad for your holding period of 2-3 months. Most sensible, as the trade gets a good margin to mature, and you learn a great deal about the scrip you hold and track.
Down the line, when the next up-trend comes in the scrip, you will know what to enticipate and expect from its movement in terms of velocity, volatility, volume pattern etc. and be better prepared.
Good luck.

Answering some queries here:
Hi Narendra, I wasnt able to follow your point about Vishal Exports, nor do I know where you took entry. It seems the corrective phase is not quite over yet. Youve asked about resistance levels, and from the CMP of 22.70 going up, itll need to clear 24-26 first. Then again after close at 27, there is 29-30 to cross, then above 32 the rally would come. How soon all this will happen, Im not clear. There is talk here of bonus etc, which Im not aware of.
If you wish to enter for long term, it seems like a good investment.

Hi Nilotpal, not sure of your query on Spenta. Obviously it has been ripping away. If you are in, enjoy the ride with a trailing S/L. If looking to enter, Id suggest dont chase it at these levels and watch how it corrects. A number of small stocks have run up and correcting sharply now, trapping traders and investors.

Hi mejo, Jk Cements: appears as if you have been holding this since January? I had mentioned this is in a corrective phase and there is no sign of a pull back yet. As long as it keeps above 120, it should be safe. A close below 118 could push it down further to test 115. For any up-trend to come, wait for a close above 126 with at least 1.5 lakh volume where you could consider taking additional exposure to average it down.

Hi stockfreakyour query about Sunbeam Info. Are you in, or want to enter?

If Ive missed anything, do kindly post again?
Will put up some buys tomorrow.
Cummins is on for sure and will update it tomorrow.
Thanks.

Amit,
Could you pls comment on hfcl infotel, valiant comm and ruchi infra. Recently my broker has recommended them, but i aint sure of their valuations.

Hi blrboy,
HFCL is one scrip that I have been most skeptical about. It is an operated stock that periodically gets operated. It has been in the news recently about recasting its high cost debts and there is some equity placement proposal. A lot of this news remains unconfirmed. Also, the Govt. has signalled to the foreign telecom equipment players to bring down their imports and have local manufacturing outfits. HFCL has been assumed to be one of the possible takeover targets. So, things can go whichever way with HFCL but Ill personally look elsewhere.

Amitkr, you may want to read this as you had raised HFCL at saints thread.

Both Ruchi Infra and Valiant have run up recently, so you may want to watch them before taking action.
Ruchi is obviously the ongoing real estate saga. For this reason, it should have juice left in it though the results have not been too hot. There is no Mutual Fund/FII interest in the counter either.
Valiant seems good to me on its play in broadband and telecom technology and has an international presence too. Not much MF/FII interest here either, but yet the results are good. Also, the interest by foreign telecom players should be there.
Before jumping in on any of these, watch them for correction. If you are in for the mid to long term, Valiant is my pick first, then Ruchi.
Hope this is useful.

Hiya Joy, we could have looked to some swadeshi drink to raise a toast, eh?
Some Som rasa, kallu, even bhang would be good!
Oh to celebrate the Independence Day of this land where the 84 carnage and the Gujrat riots are used by the politicians to score points and win elections?
No buddy, well drink the good local stuff, and let the Netas slurp some of that late (peace be on his soul) Morarjibhai drink which they deserve. Gosh, but on the other hand imagine if they all lived on to his age?!

On to money talk:
ERA Construction though run up, is about to give a classic break out. It closed 112 off, just a tiny bit behind the all time high of 114 on monthlies and weeklies. A bit like Gammon which has also run up and technically given a break out above all its levels.
Joint ventures are probably happening here, and construction scrips are hot currently. L&T, Nagarjuna, Gammon, all of these are running now as the infrastructure players.
Its a good find, Joy, and see if you can pick up a little lower possibly.

Garden Silk is the exact story to the extent it is a tad below the all time high on weekly charts. CMP is 66.45 and the highest is 69 off. Here again the run up has been steep though. However the results are not suggestive of major gains, and possibly some news may be on its way. Id be careful, but it can go either way.
Ill certain be looking to compare Gammon, ERA and Garden to see what happens technically for breakouts.

Hind Motors, Im changing my earlier views on. It had always seemed to me to be a momentum play. Lately there have been some important changes in the Birla empire, and most related scrips have run up, like Hyderabad Industries, Century, Zuari etc. Though Hind Motors is not going to Kumarmangalam, it is majorly restructuring and may possibly tie up with Mitsubishi Motors, Japan, for launching a series of new models in India.
I was going to call a buy on this later today too. It seems to be heading to a target of 65 in the near term

ERA and Hind are my favourites from the three.
Will look at the others you have asked me to.

Take care.
