Hi,

This is the best forum I have seen so far. I have been trading and learning about stock for quite some time now.

I would like to know and get your advice on couple of stocks:

1. IT People (India) Ltd. Formerly Balwas e-Com: I had entered into this during the IPO at Rs10.00, currently it is trading at Rs104+, I have already booked profits on this at Rs80.00 level, it will be splitting sometime soon now probably next month. Due you think it is still a hold or sell?

2. Bharti Tele: I entered at Rs160.00 and still holding. Though last week I entered again at Rs349.00, what do you think about this scrip?

3. PNB Gilts: Entered at Rs30.00, hold or buy more, I'm more of a long term investor.

4. Tata-tele: Entered @ Rs12.00, hold, buy or sell?

Thanks
Hey kooldude...no, I didn't miss this at all...some personal stuff to attend to. Also I'm running another thread on the Nifty which takes up a lot of time too.
IT People...wow...you hit a goldmine there, friend! Who can tell where it'll stop and I would take great care to keep most of it in maximum profit. Keep s/l at 95-99 as of today and keep raising it if it goes up further. Get back if you need further assistance on this.
On Bharti there is a post just above here. Have a look and check for any clarifications if you like. Once again, great killing here too.
PNB Gilts...It's been reacting around 23-24 for a while. The upside is it loses volume each time it has dropped from there. 18-21 is a good support area yet it could go either way from here. Even if you are doing well on the above two, be cautious here. Should the support break, it could consolidate long. If so, assess your exposure and if you can handle it, take your money out. Three tops and not breaking through...that may just weaken it. To the up 22-23-24 are crucial to cross and when it does it your entry would come soon.
Tata Tele...not looking at the chart but it has been a disappointment. I would take my money and go elsewhere...no point in hanging on to a terrible laggard. Look around for something else.
As you are a long term investor, check Shanti Grears. In that kind of a time frame this could easily be one of your aces. Buy at declines with 53 as s/l.
Come by when you like.
Bye for now.

Hi Amit,

My Buy price for Rana Sugars is Rs. 33.27, CMP is 48.8. Can you pls. suggest if I should continue to hold or dispose it off.

Regards,
Tarik
Hi Tarik...long time no see...been buying great movers I can see!
Yes, good work with Rana Sugar. Ride it out and hold a tight s/l. The sugar counters are all way high. One of these days they would take a dip on profit booking. Stay close to the door then. You could easily buy in again lower.
I'd keep 45 s/l as of now and raise it as it goes. On the down, let it knock you out if it wants to, unless you want to keep it for long. If yes, s/l 40 would be it.
On the up, a break above 50-53 would see 59-62.
Let me know and good luck.

I must say I am awe struck at the kind of service Amitbe, saint, supratik and others are providing in this forum. And that too without a whiff of any kind of remuneration. Though this is mostly a trading forum and I am not too much into trading, most of the recos are so spot on, you have pay top dollars for this kind of advice. I had just happened to find this forum and though had always been skeptical about trading, find this forum fascinating and extremely educative. It might just make a trader out of me, though sitting outside India I have no idea how do I day-trading in the Indian market. Keep up the good work guys
Hi lurkingbong...thanks there friend...and welcome to this great forum.
Before you take the plunge, get to know more, educate yourself and you'll never look back.
Saint and Supratik are rocking...they always do. Thanking you on behalf of all of us.
Do come by when you like.

Hi Kooldude,

Nice handle........:)

BHARTI TELE :Your entry was 160.BHARTI is now at 345.Great going.Raise your stop loss to 302,and enjoy the ride.

ITI :Once again, nice gains.Taken some handsome profits at 80.Now at 104 and looking higher.HOLD.

PNB GILTS :Since more of a long term person, wait for now.Buy over 25 to add to your current position. Also looking good.

TATA TELE:Raise ur stop to 25.Get out if triggerred. At present,it's forming a symm triangle on the monthly.A breakdown and a close below 25 and we may see lower levels.

Great going on all..........for long term investing, the fundamental take is vital which I am sure Amit or somebody with that knowledge could add.

Happy Trading!
Saint

Thank you Saint and Amitbe...appreciate your responses...

Saint:

PNB Gilts: You think I could buy these at 25 levels. I like this stock, since it has been paying dividend handsomely and good balance sheet as well. This is also a sister company of PNB. I had entered this stock during the IPO in 2001, have been holding these for the past 5 years, still no returns. I have a feeling, the moment I exit this it will go up :) I don't know why this keeps happening with me. What do you think about this for a 6-12 month hold?

Tata Tele: I raise the S/L to 25. I got in at 12. No action for long time now.

Bharti: Raise the S/L to 302, I have a feeling that this stock will go above 400 by budget.

IT People: I know amitbe I have hit a goldmine here, but it has given me quite a few sleepless nights. I bought 1000 of these @ IPO price 10.00, and soon after few months it was trading below 1 and I thought I had lost it all. And then IT people bought over Balwas e-com, and they were offering buy-back at 2.50, though I did not return it thinking that I have already lost all my money. And in those days, I was doing a lot of day-trading and making a few 100 bucks everyday, now I think it was an addiction. And one day, I had a loss of Rs35,000/- in Mastek and Polaris when they declared the results. My broker did not put a S/L and I had to bear all the loss. I paid in him in cash and transferred 500 shares of IT people and couple of other stocks to cover the loss, then trading around 2.00. Today, I regret that move of transferring those shares of IT People, since he is actually sitting on a gold mine. Those 500 shares will be 2500 shares in about 2-3 weeks. My 1-cent suggesstion to all: Never transfer shares to bear the loss, if you can afford to pay/borrow cash.

Thanks for Shanthi Gears amitbe, also let us know if any other scrips worth looking for 3-6 month range with a 20% profit booking.

Silverline: What do you think about this one, I had entered this @ 300 level, though not many shares, only 25. Do you think it is still worth a buy for a 1-2 years term, there is no action in this scrip.

Vikas WSP: What do you think about this one, do you think it will ever get listed, I know lot of people have started buying these offmarket. I have a feeling the promoters are buying these at cheap.

And how do I get going on getting scrips trading on Bangalore Stock Exchange and Madras Stock Exchange, I would like to get rid of 2 scrips, I don't even know if they are being traded anymore, I tried searching it on the internet but did not get any info regarding these. The scrips are Computer Power India Limited and FrontlineSoft. And info regarding these as well will be very much appreciated.

Thanks guys...

I thot this site is one where ppl help each other but this is amazing. Everybody takes care that the other person is getting the help.

BSEL INFRA :This one was going sideways for sometime but demonstrating strength on Friday.Nice breakout with high volumes. You could buy here and add over Friday's high of 51.If this does not take out the highs, you could add on a pullback.

DIAMOND CABLES :So far we have a weekly making higher pivot lows for now,but still in the middle of a pullback.Watchlist for now.

MONET ISPAT :Looking good as well.Would have prefferred it around the 189 area.If you are in,still looking great for a HOLD.If planning an entry, either on apullback or if it can go past 226.If you are entering at 226,place your stops at 196 and share size accordingly.

GM BREWERIES :Too extended for my comfort levels, would rather see how things pan out on a pullback before planning an entry into this one.

RTS POWER CORP :Here again a breakout on the weekly, buy the pullback or once it breaks over 81.

DCM SHRIRAM CONS : Once again, looking good.Put in a breakout on Friday.Buy the pullback.
As always ,the type of pullback has to assessed This weekly bar has an opening at 93,low of 88.45,high of 109.75,and a close at 109.05.The pullback cannot negate the wide range breakout bar, meaning if you get a pullback to 1/3rd-1/2 of the breakout bar and with relatively less volumes, this pullback is a continuation and a reaffirmation of this stock's bullishness. If we have a pullback to more than half, the bullishness of this breakout bar is in question. If we go back to the whole length of the breakout bar, this breakout bar has been totally negated. Not only is this not bullish, but a sign of bearishness to come. So,the type of pullback has to be assessed as well.

All great finds,my friend.Either you've been doing this for some time,or you have a great eye for a beginner.Either way, great going.

All the best!
Happy Trading!

Thank you for more than I have words to express.

Hello Amit,

Today "DISHMAN PHARMA" has flared by about 7%!
It was also suggested as value pick in the latest Outlook Money.

So, what is your view about this? Is it good to hold for short term or long term? Does it have good fundamentals?

Thanks,
Narendra
