Hi Roneeth...no worry...you did very well and the market can still keel over sharply and you did the right thing.
I too exited at 207 yesterday.
Cummins will certainly come in for a correction and look for supports at 191-196.
Check for results on Subhash at NSE and if good, look for supports at levels mentioned yesterday.
Keep a close watch on Greaves Cotton. It's in the same sector as Cummins with a face value of 10 where Cummins is 2. Performance wise they are at par pretty much.
All the best.
Hello Amit,

Thanks for your support all the time.Felt really good after your post...as was feeling a little depressed seeing todays levels. But yesterday i thought it was a good thing to do as was following the NDTV Nifty levels .Did not want to repeat my earlier mistakes were i have seen profits erroding in secs...and then so many ifs and buts...

Greaves Cotton was recommended by Capital Market in their Watch List too.
Any idea about mercator Lines...yesterdays close was at 140's and today at 55...?? Stock Split...or ?

Regards

Roneeth

Hi Narendra...I'm unable to understand your enxiety on ITC.
Hold it as long as you like...give it your grand children even. :)

Hold it with s/l at 133 and this is only for the records.
Buy more at your entry with the same s/l mentioned.
Bye for now.
Thanks for the response amit.
After I bought ITC at 138, it went down to 120's also!!
It has come up to 155 now. But, it has been at 155 for very long.
So, I was wondering, whether it is going to stay there till my grandchildren get the stock;)

Hope it will not come down to that again!

Anyway, as you have suggested, I will hold it for some more time.

Thanks,
Narendra

Another very strong counter in the engineering space is Greaves Cotton.
Has shot up over 6% at 333 now. It'll do exceedingly well going ahead where capital goods and engineering counters are the pick.
Should be accumulated at every decline.
300-306-309 may form a strong base in a falling market.

Gateway called at 215 yesterday is up at 229 on big volume today.
The support levels were mentioned then so look up previous posts.
Another strong one at these levels.
Hi Amitbe,

Entered Gatewat at 236, and the stock has moved only downwards since then. Is it a correction or has it started moving down, have a s/l at 212. Any suggestions??

Regards,
Rainmaker

Hi Rainmaker...
This is the reco from yesterday:

Gateway Dist. came up with flat results and taking a beating on account of that, where others Aegis, Blue Dart, Gati have done well.
I's an important sector and Gateway is a strong player.
There should be good recovery in the company by April results...tie-ups...whatever.
The stock is looking weak at 216 cmp, and coming off 214 a good support.
Should this be taken out quite likely in a falling market at some point, support lines are at 192-196-202-210.
At evidence of support at any of these it would be a great buy, not that cmp is too bad either.
Should the company come back with good numbers in April and there is no reason why it would not, this could make a killing.
And this is from October 4:

Hi all...
The market would need to validate all the good moves today, and we are into a few crucial sessions ahead.
Subject to all going well, these are a few counters to watch with interest. They have all given confirmation of breakouts:
Unichem Labs at 237.
Gateway Distriparks at 225.
Bharat Forge at 362.70.
Visualsoft which I am in since 180, at 110 is likely to have another 25-35 Rupees in the short term ahead...perhaps more. Some now and the rest at 125 would be one way of entering. Strange looking inverse h&s on the daily chart.
Thanks.
Since this, Gateway has gone up to 290 plus.
Coming to now, the call yesterday was for the levels given above from yesterday. This morning I had called attention to yesterday's post and to check levels from there if anyone is interested. You have rushed today when it was up 10%.
For now look for supports at 230 and 224. After the strong move today there will be profit booking and more so if the market turns weaker.
I'd say it should not have a downside from the lows at 215 area.
A close above 234-238 keeps it in strength.
Do be careful how you take position on given levels, and also on the Nifty.
Keeping an eye on the Nifty and how it's positioned when taking positions is the same as knowing where the off stump is as a batsman taking guard in cricket.
All the best and do come back for an update when needed.

Hi Kooldude...further the better from this one...unless you want to go in for a couple of years at least...international flights and Sahara notwithstanding.

hi,

sorry i might be interrupting this chain...but since i am new to this market and wanted to get some information.

recently i bought stocks in PETRONET , LAKY LABS , NATIONAL STEEL AND AGRO.

could anyone let me know whether i took a right decision in buying them.
Hi bond_kk...whether the decision for buying these was right or wrong really depends where you entered them. This is so of any stock.
Do put down where you got in and we'll take it from there.
Regards.

Hmmmmm...bond kk, seniors would reply your query, but i'm amazed what made you purchase Lyka Labs, just the rumours I believe......

Dear saint or amitda, one more query, I have still not sold mtnl which I purchased for 143..will get out of this asap....i plan to take bajaj hindustan, corporation bank...Had made profits in these scrips earlier...another scrip would be ginni filament....please suggest on these three scrips.....do definitely suggest for the ginni with detailed analysis...should i buy ginni or not....

ganeshhity
Hi ganeshhity...Bajaj Hindustan is certainly good but nowhere near a decent entry yet. It's very high and one should wait for a good deal of correction. It would be interesting to see if it can break above 382-385-388 where there is much resistance.
343-348-353-358 are support levels so wait to see if any of these will hold at a correction in this or in the market. If not you'll get it lower.
Not much to analyse on Corporation Bank. Support is at 320.
I have heard much buzz on Ginni but the chart appears quite weak. It's obviously been a loss making company in the past and only just coming around. There's no domestic funds or FII position worth mentioning as of December last.
For me an entry here at this point would be speculative. Perhaps at a close above 25 with a s/l at 22 would just about make it.
Bye for now.
