Hi Amitbe,

Thanks for your prompt advice on Cummins, Bharti, IFCI. I have been going thru Cummins's books. Smthing interesting the company has regulary been issuing bonus stock splits but the last one happened in 1999/2000...smthin mite be brewing if all goes well on the exports front. There is one baseline for all co's issuin bonuses ..their reserves and surplus should b 2-3 time their share capital. What do you say?

Interesting mov by Bhart to get into life insurance...with AXA. will the business be on the books of bharti tele..? then the market mite revalue the stock...any possibilities?
Thanks and regards
Gaurav

Hi all,
A likely candidate to take home some money after this corection would be India Cements.
There's a lot of liquidity here, the market bias is very positive on it, and has had a good run recently. Cement as a sector is in currently with infrastructure in focus. Among various others, IndCem is certainly good.
92-95 are strong supports, and trading at 99 off currently, up over 3% from yesterday. As things improve, it should spurt to 112 quickly. Near term could see over 130. Try to take at a decline should it come on, the rise at 96. The market could a dip again in the next few sessions, so seek opportunities. Strict stop loss below 88.
Regards.

PS Having a lot of trouble with my 'Rs'...the Rs on the keyboard, and not the one I wear at my behind! :)

If there's anyone with spare cash in the kitty and looking to six months or even more, look at Duncan Industries.
I have position in this from 29, and is being accumulated big time by investors for a really big target. Has done 38 recently and now for 33 off.
Regards.
Hi Amit,

I am interested in DUNCAN.
It is still hovering at 33. Should I wait for few more days (if there is any correction in the market) and then invest. Or can I right away invest in this.
I don't know anything about this company.
So, if you tell that its fundamentals are strong, I will buy this.

Also, suggest few more scrips (with strong fundamentals) that are a good buy and keep for a long term.

Thanks,
Narendra.

Hi Amit,
I am relatively new over here and also in the stock mkt. This pullback is giving me an opportunity to enter. Is it okay to enter Gammon and Aptech at this level or should I wait for some more pullback?

Thanks in advance. :)

Hi Narendra, Duncan is a dark horse, as dark as they come.
If you have spare cash, go for it. Can be a winner.
I'm in for more than mid term and not looking at daily prices on it.
I've suggested India Cements for now. Check above.
There'll be many more, but after a few days.
Regards.

Whenever people talk about cements, they talk only about ACC and India Cements.
Nobody talks about Gujarat Ambuja Cements, which I have bought few months back (before split)

So, I am getting a feeling that, I should sell of GujAmb and buy IndCem.

Or should I keep GujAmb and also buy IndCem?

Amit,

I didn't understand the meaning of "Dark Horse"!!

Few days back I sold off Eicher and HPCL with a huge loss

So, I don't want to get into something where I will repeat the same mistake.
And I have decided to go for long term and will put in only if it is good for long term.

Please do suggest/clarify.

Regards,
Narendra

Hi Narendra,
Sorry about the losses...several weeks ago I'd advised you to sell both Eicher and Hind Petro.
Never mind...
Don't take Duncans if you are low on cash.
A dark horse is an unknown contestant or one who unexpectedly wins a race.
Regards.

India Cements is up and away at this point. Called at 99 and 102 and climbing.
Would it be good even now? Yes, but has shot up almost 6%.
A pull down could come should the market turn around but I doubt if it'll return to 96 levels.
