Hi AmitDa. wanted ur views on mount everest. entered at 45. it has tried 70 a couple of times. but fails. what can be expected ? regards. vizzie
Hi vizzie...Great entry friend...and it's a great trend that Mount Everest is in for several months. It's very likely to take out the resistance at 71-74 soon. Hang in and enjoy the ride with a trailing stop.
So much for my views on it, but the view from it must be FANTASTIC! :)

Hi tradebull...
Liquidity in trading terms implies the amount of activity in a scrip.
Liquidity, broadly, is the existence of a sufficiently large number of buyers and sellers in a scrip to permit one to quickly and easily acquire or exit a position in a scrip.
Liquidity is based on certain factors, the important ones being:
Volume of transactions in the scrip. Higher the better mostly.
Number of shares outstanding. More the better.
Breadth of ownership, meaning the higher the number of holders of the scrip the better.
Volume too is a component of liquidity. A good trading stock should trade at least 5 lakh shares or more. Stocks with high volumes allow traders to acquire or sell a large quantity of the scrip without unduly affecting its price.
There is a direct relation between liquidity and volatility.
Typically a strongly liquid scrip will attract a large number of traders who are looking for volatility, meaning the price action would fluctuate enough for quick entry and exit.
On the other hand, an illiquid scrip would not to be attractive to most traders, particularly day traders as volatility is not too great in such scrips.
Universal Cables is not particularly a liquid scrip, and for that reason is not too volatile. The fact that there was a sharp rise in volume along with a slight dip in price, is a matter of interest and concern.
I'll come back on Sunday with my take on KEI.
Regards.

Hi all,
From among the scrips discussed here recently, there are some bullish patterns forming in Cummins, GujNRECoke, Allahabad Bank, Dabur, Arvind Mills, Bharti, Hind Lever and Alok. While some have registered gains, others have formed tighter bands.
Rolta, NTPC, India Cements, Ktk Bank, SatnamOverseas and VideoconIntl have stood their ground well, and an up move is likely soon.
JPAssociates has taken some losses from the high at 220 off. I see this as a short term correction, and a move to 330 should come at some point.
Aptecht and India Bulls continue to be volatile but remain above their supports for now. The mid term trend is bullish though.
I had called attention to Cipla and Nucleus recently and will update.
A couple of scrips looking really good at the start of the week
Colour Chem at 305 for 335-345 in the near term.
Petron Engineering at 233 can go to 260-270.
I like them both. Petron more.
Will be around.

Despite index/stock gains, so far the voulume build up does not appear to be a lot.
By this time normally favoured counters like NTPC, IDBI etc. that see a lot of volume, are pretty sp****.
Petron is locked at 244.90.
Good moves in VdoIntl, Satnam, Bharti, GujNRE, and Cummins which need more volume to go past 156-158.
Most volume on my list is in Aptecht.
Satnam had a bad opening at 115, so is likely to be stumped around the current 111 off today.

Hi brewin_vaz...had missed your query on Alok and PTC.
After almost two years of consolidation, Alok recently boke out on clearing 70-73-75. However, there is equity dilution in the scrip that the market is aware of, which explains the slow move. 90 is the first target from current 81.70, and over a period of time 120 is quite possible. It will get there eventually but will test your nerves.
PTC India Ltd, is into providing power trading solutions and is a Govt. initiated Public-Private Partnership. Logically then, the future has to be bright for the scrip, but for a long time it has languished sideways, bereft of any trend whatsoever. There's no point in taking position here, except if you are looking in the long term.
Regards.
Thanx alot for your expert comments. Will keep you updated.

Cipla is now coming in and trading slightly below the bullish trigger of 259. 257 off now with volume coming in.
Has missed out the rally so far and could look for an upside.
JPAsso moving well, as in India Cements.
