My portfolio is massacred mercilessly because of Nirlon They were expected to announce their quarterly results on 28-Oct. I do not find it on BSEindia.com; the market cap of NIRLON has come down from 100 odd crores to 80 odd crores in a matter of 1 month. Can I expect some solace from this stock or shall i book losses and exit this counter? Please advise.

Hi Prakash, the good thing for now is Nirlon is above 13.50 and it's crucial to remain above here. This is too early to say anything on its immediate progress, but the foremost important level above 13.50 is a close over 17. Once in this zone, it's likely to move better. On the fundmentals the company appears to be making losses, or rather, improving on the losses or making fewer losses over the past few quarters. This is from the last quarter results. The weakness is here, and I assume if there is no marked improvement in the current results, your wait may be longer than desired. Do watch for 17 for now, if it manages to be above 13.50-14 over the next few sessions. As such, 12.90 would be the logical stop at current levels but you may want to ride it out being so deep.
On Voltas, there's not much to fear, as seen in today's fantastic move. The call is yours on this for now. It's obviously heading for a great close, and should be on its way. You could put a stop on it at 460 at these levels and take your chances, and trail stop tight on the up. Really depends if you wish to cash out to play safe. I can't really put a target on it just yet, as its early days again, but do keep posted.
