I have been reading your posts for a while now..I'm an absolute novice to the stock market..I would be grateful if you can advise on the following :

1. I have 300 Garden Silk which I bought at 92.5..do I hold this stock or sell it ?
2. Please suggest a few stocks to invest in to realize moderate gains over a 3-6 month period.

A lot of us would be interested in getting a list of good stocks to buy or stocks to sell categorized intraday/short/medium/long term.

hello all,
plz help me i am struck.
I bought kirloskar electricals at Rs 142 and it is now trading at 131.
bought dhampur sugar at Rs 232.75 and its now trading at Rs 225.
bought Nuchem at Rs 7.20 and is now trading at Rs 6.85.

I am already in a huge loss. plz guide me on what to do next. shall i book losses or hold for some more time. if i should hold what might be the time period and the target.

i also want to know weather it would be advisable to take fresh positions now in this volatile market. if so what would be the stocks which could appreciate, preferably in short term. As i have already made great losses (not only in the above stocks) i want to cover up the loses. plz help
