Hi Amit ji....

I am not advocating to follow the concept of Averaging for each and every trade..... And, I believe, even Sushilji is not advocating to Average each and every losing position.....

What I am saying is.... to average a position when the stock has already moved away too much too fast from your Entry Price in an opposite direction and you still believe that it should start moving in your direction sooner rather than later.... At this point, we should listen to our brains.... and if the brains say that: "This Is It.... It would start moving in my direction from here onwards...", only then one should average a position..... Otherwise, it's a Strict NO.....

Moreover, from my past experiences, what I have observed with my trading is that..... If you have averaged a position once, and the market still doesn't move in your direction..... It's time to completely get out of it.... and one might also consider taking an opposite position.... This keeps away from the Vicious Cycle of Averaging....

And I feel proud counting you among my buddies because of your Straight-forwardness, speaking what you want to speak, challenging the rudiments and other similar characteristics..... Please never ever give up these qualities....

Even I want to incorporate some of these qualities.... Run away from being a coward....

Before the day started i had only one thing in mind and that is the maximum which i will let the position go against me is to 5132 as that is the Low which was made recently (10 to 15 days earlier) and which is less that the previous lows.

Regarding 17th April trading session

as i got out of 1 lot in profit i was happy (of course the profit factor is there but more to that it is that it was the feeling that you can make money even if you keep your SL well away because earlier i used to keep tight SL due to that my Losses are less but my EOD ledger was never in profit, as when i keep small SL my mentality become such that i get out of the profit position in a hurry as soon as i see some points drop in the position which was in profit)

One thing which i still cannot understand is "You said we have still long biased on nifty" How can we decide whether the bias is of Long or short. What i normally do to decide the bias is see the 50 MA if close is below that Bias is Negative and vice verse.

I hope this is what you expected.

Regarding the market bias thing i tried to search on the net but not able to find other than what i stated (50 MA and 200 MA ). Getting the Bias is also the essential thing to keep your subconscious mind in control and tell him that what i am doing is correct.

Hi TP... due to volatility...some S/Ls are higher... for Instance VIP one is suppose to buy at the Open..... once it goes to about 104.xx that is when one would put a S/L..... Don't worry...you will become familiar with the system...!!!
