Stock FUTURES To Keep A Close Eye On

Hi SM,

Yesterday Angel gave a call to Buy the futures of STER for short term.... and my friend who has an account with them....called me and asked whether he should pickup..... I only told him...I have seen Angel's calls go bust most times....and their record is so pathetic....why would he want to go with STER.... instead why not Hindalco... Oct Futures.

Rest is history....

Hi Savant,

Good Hindalco call.How about adding another sentence in signature that for a new trader trading in stock futures may not be good.This is to desist new trader trading from Stock Futures because they involve more things than
equity shares.

My FUTS CALL was not taken bcoz of Angel call nor was it on that day BUT a day before imo.

Had asked Raunak as to write what he thought I missed and picked the wrong stock or something which I could not see that the stock was weak.

And here's what he replied. Is a good read for other FUTS players too (of course, not you though )

Hi Columbus,

Difficult for me to expound that...considering my first ever trade was in futures....and there is no other segment that can give you returns like futures.... ofcourse requires a lot of discipline and understanding.....

Somewhere I read somebody's post that technicals worked well all through the month but fails miserably during expiry week....only if they could understand the Net long & short positions of stocks in the market.

Hope the poor guy....doesn't change his AFL...because of expiry week...

I would stay very far from anything to do with Anil Agarwal....or any of his companies..... this is far bigger...than is made out......in my opinion...

Sir I too like to trade in futures, but most of the time i close my position in loss. What discipline one should have while trading in futures?
Can you elaborate it so as it could me helpful to me!

Sure sir but, haven't got full days time, therefore i can't use by BRAINS all the time. Short memory is also a problem for me, trying to over come it but struggling with self esteem problems also!
