Stock FUTURES To Keep A Close Eye On

thanks a ton for the useful info, Savant sir..

I have a suggestion regarding this ..
we have a useful thread running highlighting the hottest stocks and futures to keep a eye on.
why can't we have another thread, wherein Savant sir and others can post about some scrps which should be avoided at any cost.. one of the main reasons could be bad fundamentals or something else. it would help a newbie investor from putting his hard earned money in such scrips..
mind you, ths is just a suggestion from a newbie..

thanks..

I think that's asking for a bit too much from people.

Guys , the aim should be to focus on the positive and not the negative. This thread gives you the positive stocks . What more do you want ?

Futhermore , there is no end to bad stocks , the list is endless. So starting a thread to put their names down is point less and time wasted which could have been spent on better things.

I beg to differ Mr. hills_5000. This focusing on the +ve and ingnoring the -ve is a mumbo-jumbo of 1960s hippie culture of USA. Any two-penny electical engineer can tell you that you need both for the current to flow. Can there be Ram without Ravan? Can the greatness of Gandhi stand a chance without the petty thinking of Nathuram Godse? Can you walk on one leg? Think about it.
Gestalt is a psychological term. In layman's terms it means, the overall picture. Yes, we do need to know which stocks are bad. So that we could better understand the factors that make the good stocks GOOD. A society that only celebrates its heroes, and ignores to chart the criminal activities, heads for the trouble sooner than later. Same is applicable to each of us.

Best regards, and happy Diwali.

Arre party sab ko denge .. aaj shaam ko Taj pe pahunch jaana 8pm ko.

Aur haan ... security bahut tight hogi (of course mere liye :D) to agar nahi jaane de to mera naam lena .. bolna SM bola hai ...

Waha pe jo khana peena .. agar ghar bhi le jaana ho to le lena .... dost yaaron ko bhi leke aana .. no probs

:)
I wish, dear SM, I could be there too as a party-crasher! But most of all, I wish I hadn't been an NRI for so long as to have missed the charm of the best language in the whole wide world - Hindi.

God bless you, brother.

Focus my dear friend. You are here to make money . This thread gives you the good stocks. Your own research will make you realise what makes these stocks good. This knowledge when applied to other stocks will give you the key to whether they are good or bad.

Leave the list of bad stocks to SEBI and your broker :)

If you still insist : Pls start the thread and i shall update it as muchas i can :)

regards

friends / SIRJI(s)... I think/feel nifty will correct from here somewhere...

an 30-50-100 points upmove... "if came" will be a great chance to short.?

I am not thinking now if NIFTY will take out all time HIGH or not.. its not bothering me...

how many of you feel the same...??

If you think nifty will correct.. how far it will have a dip?? 5800 ?5600? 5400? or just a minor correction say 6100-6050?

and yes.. which heavy weight stocks will cause majorly if the fall occurs?
I think nifty will see 6127....(spot) below it i dont know ! as I am a very short term trader sochta bhi chota hun :) already bought some small qty 6300 puts on muhurat day. will add more if 6400 taken out !

SBIN / ONGC can fall ?

my views.... may be wrong..

awaiting your views before market opens on monday

thanks in advance

That is all the focus should be.
I hope, bro, I didn't hurt your feelings. Nor I intended to belittle your belief in 'Focus'. But forgive me if disect what you just wrote - sentence by sentence. We have all the time till Sunday evening to be 'not traders';)

First, the Focus thing:
What I understand by your affinity towards this 'Focus' thing is, if we lose money during the trade that'd mean we are out of focus. If we book profit, means we are focused. That is, profit and loss are the measure of this thing called focus. Right? Wow... Wish life were that simple!

Understand this: None of us on this earth know anything about/of this mental phenomenon that is widely known as 'focus'. Leave aside the presumption that we could control, or develop, it for a particular end. That is, there is no methodology to make a successful trader out of a randomly chosen person. Otherwise, you would have Warren Buffet or George Soros by the dozens. Why, even Mr.SavantGarde would stand in a long queue to become the moderator then! :D Some people have this 'focus', some don't. Period.

This focus thing that we harp on itself is a mumbo-jumbo peddled by the modern day hippies, by the likes of ponytailed Aridham Chaudharys and the nincompoops that are invited on Oprah show. And we, the gullible people, get mesmarised by their high-sounding claims ringing with words like 'scientifically proven' and 'psychological tests'. Baba Ramdev does the same, and we all start pinching our noses in the morning!

How do I know? Because once I was a part of the system that specialised in screwing-up people's minds for a fistful of dollars.

Second, 'I am here to make money': Am I? How do you know this for sure? Is it because I am a member of Traderji? If yes, then you have just broken the limits of Inductive Thinking. It is like saying, every pilot who flies the airplane, does it for the salary and the perks. Then why would John Travolta, a great actor and a human being, go on to become a certified pilot of Boing 747? Go figure.

Third, This thread gives you the good stocks.
Does it? If yes, then the next two sentences lose their meaning. If no, then this sentence becomes meaningless. Take your pick.

The last two sentences of the paragraph.
Now we are talking sense, brother.:clapping:

Finally the last two lines:
NO, I don't leave things on the people who are 'part of the system'.

About starting my own thread, I'll let you know.

By the way, if the following information helps you in anyway I would be glad:
I started trading on 21st Oct of this year with just 50k in the kitty. Till todate I have more than doubled it. One-fourth of my profit is allocated for the charity on behalf of all the help I got from wise people on TraderJi and other useful sites.
Now you must be wondering how did I do that. Well, I didn't focus, I didn't short-sell on Diwali either. I just listened to Miles Davis, Mozart and Mangeshkar sisters while having Scotch in the evenings, and started everyday as a new born.

You have a good time, brother. May you be happy always
