Sorry to bother you again i remember last time around you promised me that you will help me creating a portfolio for Rs.1,00,000/- across sectors. Would be really happy if you could help me out in this.

Personally i have been tracking couple of stocks (Sree Renuka Sugars and Manapparam Gold). Please let me know if it is worth having this in my kitty.

I also have some shares of NHPC. Please let me know if i could hold this or give it. Just to let you know i am planning this investment from near time (6 months) to long time (3-4 years).

It has been a loooong time since posting here and having a nice chat with you; except puching some thanks here and there. Infact, it has been more than a month since I have been extremely busy with my official engagements but that is an unavoidable price of responsibilty of managing others. Now I have a couple of days off. Feel guilty sometimes for not interacting with you as to an extent my glorious self have nudged you on for quite sometime before you started this thread and rather reluctantly so, for the fear of MTM losses of the dear readers.

I am able to understand that these triggers are treated with caution by you but why no targets ? Can understand that you have left to the discretion of the investor to book profit and exit OR continue holding it till you post sell trigger or S/L is hit. Believe a target will give some ideas to the reader though my experience has taught me that exiting with 2-4% profits and start hunting for stocks on retracement in the Futures segment is better form of risk management due to the unforeseen disastrous MTM consequences; unless one starts trading with them. And it means NO LOOs.....till the end of the trading session and god forbid if the terminal goes on a blincker.

Further, some triggers have stop loss higher than the CMP. Does it mean that only entry can be taken above the S/L price or one may use his good sense ? MCDOWEL-N for examle has a stop loss of higher than the CMP but has added 20% OI as last closing day on retracement and appears to be on the move again. Is it prudent to enter at this level keeping inview that this is a valatile counter ? Or is it wiser to pick a fresh trigger ?

Your Observation About Taking Profit Is Valid & Sound....

Coming To S/Ls Being Higher....Since The Triggers Happened Sometime Back...Under Certain Conditions.....If The Scrip Moves Up Above The S/L Then One Should Maintain The Higher S/L Incase Of Downward Movement....It Is Not For Entry.... & Yes There Is No Lower S/L For Such Scrips....After Some Period Has Elapsed Since The Triggers.

IF It Still Remains BUYHOLD After Triggering S/L One Should Re-Enter The Scrip Again....With This Higher S/L...Till We Get A SELL Trigger Or Use Your Own Discretion....For Entry & Exits.

Let Me Think Over About The Point You Raised About Target
