Hi,

I also did same thing last time.
So one of the observation is that. Till 3.15 market is moved into one direction & after that it is moved in opposite direction.
As closing price is decided after avg last 15min trade actual closing after adjustment is much lower.
Same happened today last traded price was 5822 but closing is at 5799.75 which made options worthless.
but still you are lucky if actual closing would have come 5800.05 then it would have considered as ITM option & STT & other taxes would have been applicable on that.

350 per lot !!! Really ......... Oh my god.......

Then I will never ever try this again.

Can any one answer me how a closing of 5822.85 became 5799.75 on adjustment. How does operators know it so well that they bring to such a point that the expiry will be so rounded?

YEAH...20 K minus STT..., Brokerage...STT is almost 350 per lot so its alone huge amount...I am never able to catch these option expiry jackpots...Once had a golden chance in this September...but that was another story.:(..
