Do you think that Indian market follows US market?
I think or rather belive that our market follows Europe Market rather than US market.
Few months back, Asian Markets were down,European Markets were down,
Previous day's American Markets were down,American Futures were down,
most of Indian Market's were down except INFOSYS.I shorted the market.
Surprisingly at the end Indian Market was in GREEN.I was a big looser ,on
paper,as at time I was doing paper trading. The moral of the story is quite
clear I suppose.

Hi Savant,

No reply to my post:)

Dear Savant and Others,

I'm holding Karur Vysya bank shares from last one year, two months back they announced bonus shares 2:5 ratio

Since i had 9 shares. I got 3 more shares credited my demat account last month and received letter for the same. In the letter they have mentioned Fractional Entitlement of 0.60... Is this because odd number of shares i had before bonus?
Do i get this in cash?
How its calculated, its almost two months i haven't heard anything about it? How can i contact them?

HHH,

If ratio is anything other than 1:1 then one will always get fractional entitlement if quantity held does not fit the ratio...
and you cash credit for the balance as entitlement...

Also one should be aware of such ratios...and see that your holding quantity meets up with declared ratio.... by buying the shortfall from the market....

Thought somebody had already replied to your query....

Hi Savant,

I was holding 6 Bank of Rajasthan, and after the merger, I was given 1 ICICI. There is no cash credit happened for the balance as it didn't fit the ratio. I think I need to check with the broker.

Thanks,
Sameer.

What I remember is:

When our Markets open up with a huge Gap Down becasue of Dow Cow or European Market Crash, We should go long on that day as our Market will try to go up thru the day.

When our market opens with the Huge Gap Up becasue of euphoria in World Market we should short at the top.

No such news from the co re bonus/split etc which are doing the market rounds ..
2. Balrampur - I have 400 at an avgd price of 132.
