Hi Savantji and members

Can u please clear my doubts on powergrid fpo

1. The present market value of Rs.100-103, (artificially maintained by issue managers) will it continue in the range after closure of the FPO till listing date.

2.I searched the offer document there is no green shoe option and my doubt is
who will buy the shares on listing date and at what approximate price.

I am seriously considering withdrawing my application as I am planning only on listing gains.

Please guide me

with regards

Savnat Sir ,
They are saying 5% discount for retail Investors. I have an Q(as always). Say If I bid for shares @ 85 and I get few shares so what would be the price . will it be 85-5% of 90(set price) , 85 or 85-5% of 85.

is it worth apply if can hold for 3-4 months ? or buy it from the market in Jan 2011 after reviewing the market ?(I remember you had posted that it can give 25-30% by March-April).

thanks

RajeABC..

If FPO price decided is 90 and you have bid 85 ...your application will be rejected....

5% discount is on the Price the company decides between 85-90 for purpose of listing......

If your bid is at Cutoff (90) and company decides to issue the shares at 85 then you would get the shares at 85 Less 5% discount offered to retail investors.

I have no view... for 3-4 months.... only thing I have mentioned to SM is because he had the shares from earlier IPO @ 52 so there was some arbitrage opportunity.

What do you mean when you say that low BV stocks commanding good prices?? Shouldn't high BV stocks command good prices??

And yeah thanks a lot for explaining the concept to me. I am so glad that I found this forum. Back in the days I had found a similar forum for CAT prep and I had score more than 98%tile in CAT. Am sure I will be successful in trading also after joining TJ
High BV stocks tend to trade at higher prices ,but you find exceptions also.
Ex.HindComposites (BV=830) trades at 540.

Low BV stocks tend to trade at lower prices ,but you find exceptions also.
Ex. Talwakars (BV=18) trades at 270.

Savant Sir ,

Thanks for your reply. what will happen Say if FPO is , retails section, under subscribe and some investors have applied at cut off price and some at @85(for simplicity say) . Can issuer allocate retail shares to other category ? or they will have to give @ 85 .

About your view for 3-4 months , I was referring to your following post.

Just to remind you keeping your busy schedule in mind.
