Hi Gangadharan,

Hope you donot mind, if I add something to your views.

News is often right. Channels just manipulate the timings. It could be due to their inefficiency or nexus with operators, by the time, news is flashed, stocks might have already discounted.

As SG many times stressed, its our ability to interpret the price, safeguards us from such traps. Price is the master.
Yes Sirrrrr,

Gangadharan:)

Hi Amin,

While I might use the terms Long Term & Short Term.... considering I am a futures trader...... would always recommend... milking as much as is possible once an entry is made.....& divorcing at the first sign... of any tremor...

Therefore... I would suggest make some opportunistic entries....and stay with it.... till it can give very little or no more... but definitely not take away anything it has given already....:)

Savant bhai...Any suggestion for investing 1 lakh for shot term ?

Regards
Amin

Hi Amit,

Once you have seen my 'Thanks' in your post...it means I have read & understood your query.... There is still plenty of time for 'The Plan' being aware of your situation... don't worry you shall not be mistaken again for somebody else....

There is nothing like a rough plan... when I sit down to draw it is usually the final drawing.... rough plan or sketches are for those....with shaky visualization.

You will get a plan by Wednesday... and a single scrip entry on Monday during the market... so keep your cheque book ready...:)

Dear Mr SG,

You still have not answered by query about investing 50K in about 10 scrips for a total of 5 lakh. It will give some comfort to know that at least, I have a rough plan in place. Sorry for being persistent but it is very important. Thanks.

Amit.

An advice to the sage, you - before I go to bed. From now on, please make sure to add the following lines in fine print - something like the Mutal Fund guys do - to all of your answers to the oft-repeated question: I have xxx spare amount, please suggest where to invest.:

Despite my above suggestion and vast knowledge of the market, I would not be cursed if your investment in the market went south or north. So if you are thinking in terms of a return as sure as your mother's love, contact your bank manager for fixed-deposit

Goodnight, brother.

Goodnight all!

Don't worry about asking... just when you are about to hit the sack....

It is 'MisUnderStanding'

Today, I was really very scared to trade. All reds on the screen. Could never dare to short. After reading all the posts and seeing that y'all were making money, I decided to go long in HCC in the last 15 minutes.

Bought 1000 HCC @ 40.25 on margin. At first, HCC was playing between 40.50 to 40.75. I even considered revising my price to 40.50, but decided against it. Finally, I got my price, then set selling price @ 41 and waited for short covering.

Nothing happened. The stock kept going down. Had to cover @ 39.85 just seconds before closing bell.

So, still lost money. Fear... I lost because of fear. Why didn't I follow SG sir?

Stupid Gauhar... :( Can never make a profitable trade...
