Hi RahulD,

I am aware it was hugely oversubscribed.... perhaps 2 lac retail limit and size of the IPO size being considerably small.....

Will need to monitor it..... till April-May to see what is cooking.....

I wouldn't recommend anything on MOIL at this point of time...

SavantGarde

Savantji,

Any views about MOIL ?

can we get it in less than IPO price after listing ?

If so shall we go for it ?

Thanks.

Folks,

Here is a single day image of a ledger dated 09/06/2010 & one can see the deep red of -4760483.03

Person has about 500 odd shares of RELIANCE as collateral.... & RIL's closing price on that day is 1007.05 (Haircut offered by the broker is 20% for RIL)

Ledger's owner is very very lucky that His RIL shares weren't liquidated....for the Ledger being way beyond the Pure-Risk

Anybody has any idea for bringing it back to 'Green of Health' & what would be the Time Frame...without adding even a single paise to the ledger

P.S.: Will Post the whole Ledger twice one for date 31/03/2011 & second for date 08/06/2011

SG and all,

From the tips on accumulating stocks in this thread about rather than buying the whole count of shares in single shot, I came up with following management for Portfolio. Kindly provide me inputs if it can modified for improvement. If you feel this should be in a different thread I will put it there

This is for delivery cash trading purpose
1. Accumulate the shares in 3/4 splits - preferably 25% of the total size each time it goes up
2. Keep the SL wrt to the latest buy
3. If the profit does not reach 35%-40% but gets a sell signal/or reason for not holding the trade anymore; Sell off full;
4. As soon as it reaches 35 - 40 % of the average prize, start selling off
4a. But sell off only to the point of your total initial investment, and keep the rest as an investment and keep track of it only monthly;being ready to sell the profit investment when one sees there is not point in remaining in the same
4b. In what range one should sell off after making 35-40%; 40%+30%+30% of the initial investment is what I have thought of
5. Always make sure that I do not neglect the SL till it reaches to point 4 stage

Can the same be used in futures (at some point i will start trading in futures; but not right away) ?

I would not mind any kind of inputs - brickbats and bouquets :D

Savant bro
(Haircut offered by the broker is 20% for RIL)
Please explain what does this mean,,Daily as i receive digital contracts.. i get some charges found after the column " Beneficiary Balance on T-1(After Haircut 1)", i could not understand whats it.. but simply save the contract note in my system.. relying on the broker that, all accounting that were made by him would be correct..

With regards

Hi SV,

Let me explain why your 'Hair Cut' Style will change everyday...

Let's assume you offer 1 share of RIL as collateral for Limit & the hair cut is 20%
If the closing price of RIL is 1000 then the Broker will give you a limit of 800 for next trading day

If on the trading day RIL closes @ 1100 then with a hair cut of 20% you will get a limit of 880 for next trading day...

Similary from 1000 if RIL closes @ 900 then you would get a limit of 720 for next Trading day...

Can't believe.... you are still eating... anyways...keep some sweet for me...:D
