Hi Gauhar Jaan.

SG sir,

when do you rest? :D
Resting at the moment while I write this reply...:)

I would like to ask you a question...

Your opinion on Nifty. Do you think we could break out of the rangebound movement between 5800 and 6000 this week? Or is the breakout reserved for the expiry week?
Yeah Definitely going to break out from this range.... on 18th or 19th Maximum...:D

Report to base Eagle One! Want to narrate an interesting story......After following Mr SG's call last week and making money in Vijay 100CA option, all this week, I had been thinking to buy options but was too scared to do so. Also, I was fearful of asking Mr SG for a tip since I knew he would give me a good spanking in public. So, on Wednesday, I read an interesting news piece which said that BPCL was going to raise petrol prices. So, I decided to buy BPCL option 700CA and was about to press the buy button. But what happened next was truly amazing......perhaps an act of God. My computer froze for 2 minutes. I pressed every key on the keyboard but nothing happened. So, I re-started the computer and opened the trading terminal, and to my horror discovered that I had accidentally bought the BPCL option at 20.9. I don't know how this happened. At that moment, the price was moving at around 20 and I was suffering a minor loss of Rs.500. But I held on thinking this as an act of God. Well, price of BPCL option moved up to 25 and I sold the option thereby making a good profit.

Now, the interesting thing is that when my computer froze for 2 minutes, the price of BPCL option went below 16. If my computer had not frozen, I would have surely sold my option at a big loss and would have vowed never to trade options again. However, after the BPCL trade, I felt that I had been inducted in the world of options. Since then, I have traded in 4 different options and now feel somewhat comfortable. Some may call the BPCL trade an act of God, some may call it luck...............I call it destiny!

Out, Delta One.

Looking at OI of options to figure out where markets are going can make you employable as the resident F&O expert of the TV channels but not a good trader ! Keep the inputs to your trading system as simple as possible, follow and believe the system once you have back-tested it and manage your trades well - that is all that is really required. The more things you look at, there would just be paralysis and the trade would be gone by ...

Option strike prices are good places to be careful about when in trade but that is about it.
OI gives a good snap of where the market is going .. though it is dynamic and keeps changing ... BUT for me IT gives me the messages in the right time ...

Someday, I might aslo land up without informing in hectic trading hours....

Well .. I AM landing up unannounced at trading time :D ... Be prepared .. like that sudden drop/surge .... BUT still don't have yr address bro :D

This post served its purpose, therefore, deleted. The question it raised has been brilliantly answered by Enygma on page1811
