Suru,

Your Query I Explained In Detail Inspite Of Not Getting Full Information From Your End

What I Didn't Get From You:

a) What Was The Total Quatity Of ABAN You Had Bought
b) All You Mentioned Was Your Broker Informed You That 20 Shares Was Delivered Short
c) You Never Mentioned What Was The Total Quantity You Sold On Friday

I Explained To You The Procedures Including Links From NSE Website

Inspite Of All This You Keep Coming Back My Broker Wrote This & That

Your Broker Is Making An Idiot Out Of You

You Need Proper Information You Take Your Contract Note & Go To The Grievance Cell Of NSE.

CLOSEOUT - Means When You Are The Beneficiary Of Short Delivery ( In Simple Terms It Means Even If The Stock Price Goes Down You Will Still Have Benefit Of 20% From Your BUY Price.
AUCTION - Means You Failed To Deliver The Shares As Per The Settlement, Therefore You Will Loose Atleast 20%

I Hope I Have Made Things Crystal Clear.

I Do Not Want To Read Anymore On This Topic.

Guys,

Considering 3000 Odd Crore Turnover Was Executed On The Exchanges Today, Means Most People Were Not Able To BUY Anything.

Now Does That Mean That People Who Wanted To BUY Today Will Change Their Mind & May Not Want To BUY Tomorrow, I Doubt It Very Much

In My Opinion One Circuit Is Definite Tomorrow Morning, Unless & Until SEBI & Exchanges Modify The Rules For Tomorrow, Yes It Is Quite Possible, Why ?
If Big Guys Manage To Put Enough In Their Pockets....To Bend The Rule On Some Pretext.....If This Is To Happen It Will Probably Be Flashed In The Last Minute Before The Market Starts.

BUYs Recommended Still Stand BUY A Little Less Though At Whatever Price One Can Manage.

Suffice It To Say 50-60% Capital Can Be Deployed Tomorrow Itself.

Happy & Safer Investing

Circuit Means Limit, If The Indices (BSE & NSE) Reach A Certain Percentage Or Points As Laid Out In Their Respective Circular, Market Is Halted From Further Buying Or Selling.

For More Details On This Please Check The NSE Website For Their Circular & Go Through It.

Hello Savant Sir,

Now as the prices have rocketted skyhigh today,so what should I do with the portfolio you suggested yesterday.

I am new to this market so I thought I will follow your said portfolio and hence transferred 20000 to my account but.....I was just not able to trade today... :-(

Please suggest what modifications have to be done to the portfolio and what will be the tgt prices.

As I don't have any idea, please take few minutes of precious time to guide me.

Thank you.

Vikas,

a) I Do Not Trade Intraday, Their Is Nothing In It, It Is Just Peanuts
Intraday Is Ok When Markets Are Choppy & Undecided.

b) I Only Trade NF, BNF & Stock Futures & I Take Positions As Per My BUY Triggers & Get Out When I Get Trigger For Exit.

c) I Have 80% Exposure In The Market.

Helo Savant sir,
I was going through the complete posts,I read that u mentioned Icicidirect charges lot of brokerage and I have icicidirect account. :-(

So could u please suggest me one which has low brokerage?(I read other posts from murtaza bhai and all others but they were all talking about some lots,.. brokerage.I didn't get it.)

If u don't want to post the name of brokerage firm here,if u can mail please mail to [email protected]

Thank you again.

Rafiq.

Auction is : when u sell shares expecting market to fall but price movement is otherwise then
1. u have to square off at higher prices OR
2. u do not do anything, your broker will buy shares from market for you and give to the person you have sold your shares.

Now pt 2 - when your broker buys, he debits Max price of the shares on T+2 days so sometimes, price falls the next and the next day bringing you in profit - alternatively - it moves higher up increasing your loss.

When we buy shares but do not get delivery, we are given shares bot by the broker @ market rates and this money is then taken from the person who sold but never delivered the shares.

Reason they do not deliver shares is they are taking risk - IF the price goes down then they benfit as stated in explanation of pt 2.

Hope I am clear or am I very confusng?
Hi Murtaza, I don't think point 1 (squaring off) is considered an auction. And as for the second point, I'm not really sure that there's any way a person who defaults in delivery can benefit from the auction itself.

Savant, please clarify.:)
